Dark Souls 3 PC vs PS4 Graphics Comparison

PC offers the best way to play Dark Souls 3 - graphics upgrades over consoles are minimal, but the gameplay experience is significantly enhanced. We'll be back soon with spec recommendations for 60fps gameplay, but in the meantime, check out this detailed comparison using gameplay clips.

Yeah the graphics are basically the same its the 60fps that makes the difference. Still going to get the ps4 version though.

Crimzon3689d ago

After seeing that the PS4 version of Dark Souls 3 suffers from the same framepacing issues as Bloodborne I'm glad we actually have the option to go with PC and enjoy this one at a decent framerate. The differences in framerate in this video are really shocking when put side-by-side like this. Shame we'll never get to experience Bloodborne properly though, unless Sony goes back and updates the game to run better on the PS4K.

wakeNbake3689d ago

There is NOT gonna be a PS4K get that out of your head,if you know anything about hardware you know a 4k console would be massive in size and cost at the very least $800 with today's tech. Naughty Dog themselves said it would take another generation.

Crimzon3689d ago

Well considering how noisy the fans in the PS4 are I'd say a larger console with better airflow is a win/win situation to be honest, especially since all the insiders that have talked about it have mentioned a die shrink as well.

ShadowKnight3689d ago

Like any other Sony first party exclusive. Bloodborne will never come to PC

kraenk123689d ago

@Crimzon

The new 1200 series model is near silent already.

@wakenbake

The PS4K is pretty much confirmed and will have an upgraded GPU. It will play 4K BluRays and upscale games to 4K not play them natively of course!

Yep. I can confirm that, as I do have a very awesome 1200 model PS4 here:

Even though you always accuse me of not having a PS4, even after seeing it already, I'll back you up on this one. It's silent, and more energy efficient than my loud jet engine launch PS4! ;)

Ps4 versión looks more blury compared to the PC one. It is easy to see.

GoldPunch-TR3689d ago

Ps4 is better. Much better graphics and physics.

Here bud, you dropped this.

Atmus3689d ago

Physics? It's the same engine numb nut

maybelovehate3689d ago (Edited 3689d ago )

Not necessarily the ""same"". Similar to graphics engines, physics engines also scale based on available resources. And most physics engines require CPU based operations and consoles have terribly slow CPU's. A physics engine on an i7 processor would be able to be a lot more accurate than it would on a PS4.

pyroxxx3689d ago (Edited 3689d ago )

Looks pretty equal,.. And even i7 980GTX titanium 6gig drops framerate below 20 someplaces as seen in oroboro's playtrough (which apparently they fixed,..in 1.03)60 to 20 is pretty staggering,..
Will end up getting both,.. but foremost on PS4 ,.. (not getting hacked to oblivion is also a big plus of console versions)

Erik73573689d ago

Honestly what you mentioned is 99% a launch issue for most games and that frame rate problem is fixed like in the first week...

Ruggadagod3689d ago

I only play consoles so PS4 for me.
