A new Heavy Rain Preview of a german site with the first gameplay details straight from Leipzig GC.

Ben from Netto's Game Room takes a look at 7 video games where dying doesn't mean the end, as the story and world simply continue on without you.

We present a list of horror games with depressing endings, each known for its unique experience and storytelling.

"Many video games catch not only great commercial attention but remarkable critical attention as well. We have seen games like Heavy Rain, The Last of Us Part II, and even entries in the Metal Gear series described as fantastic interactive experiences, even heralded in the same way as Hollywood's greatest films.
I would suggest that not only is this an unfair comparison but also a harmful one. Video games, by their very nature, are an intricately different medium and should be weighed against one another rather than another form of media," Phillip writes for GF365.
I think Hollywood films will becoming increasingly more like video games in the future, especially as the world embraces the "new normal" from the pandemic. It makes sense, as games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales showcase just how realistically we're reaching in graphical capabilities, as well as showcase extreme action sequences in spectacular ways. And as time goes by, it'll get easier and cheaper to produce such "art", as well as create new star "actors" that never age, never die, never complain, never gets involved in scandals, etc. Technology is amazing and we're only just getting a taste of what it'll eventually be.
No. For the money spent, a quality game provides far more entertainment value than a quality movie. Especially when looking at what is going on in the world, and how a studio can attempt to pilfer from consumers by charging 30 dollars for Mulan via streaming. Ridiculous. There is no comparison....games all day.
She doesn`t just move her head, the joysticks control her head and shoulders. The Triggers make her walk in the direction she is looking. It`s not called a "Movie" it`s called "Innovation" an I like it.

i don't mind a game with QTE. it's a change of pace from everything else you find everywhere. QTE is bunk for people with bad hand-eye coordination though. stay away from Guitar Hero/Rock Band if you don't like QTE.
plus, QD's story telling and movie-like feel is always welcomed by me.
While it might seem odd to not be able to walk in 3-d space using the analog sticks, I think this way makes more sense. You use the R-2 for your walk, so no matter what you are doing you are always walking in the right direction in 3-d space. As long as you are turning your head you go there if you are pushing the R-2 button.
I like that aspect of it and I think a lot of new games wit cinematic approaches are going to lend themselves to this way of doing things. In 3-d person it's too general. We know we're playing a game and how we move that character is dependant on where we are in 3-d space. If you turn around all of a sudden left is right and right is left on the analog sticks.
This game changes all that and goes in for a much bigger approach. 3rd person and 1st person games feel like they are games. This game will probably feel like an experience, rather than a game.
I'm more and more impressed with the choices being made on this one.
