The comparison is inevitable, especially since they are both now based on X64 architecture. However, since the talk about enabling console upgrades came about, it´s all the rage on internet waves.... in terms of what will happen going forward, it´s anyones guess.
Probably because PS4 and Xbox One are more or less PC's now. Albeit very cheap builds.
After recently building my own PC and becoming an "Elitist" I compare the games that I now own on both console and PC and it is like playing entirely new games at 144hz. There is no comparison, PC high end gaming is the dream I never knew I was missing and playing my PS4 is more like getting on that broken down 30year old thrill ride at the state fair with a stomach full of greasy food.
