The gaming world is incredibly tumultuous right now. Since new hardware comes once every blue moon, it's always a big deal anytime a company announces that it will be bringing out a new device. The thing is, Sony hasn't said anything about major new hardware; however, just like Nintendo's enigmatic NX, there are enough rumors to cover the state of Texas.
Reports suggest that Sony will be bringing out an upgraded PlayStation 4 system later this year, presumably to better handle VR games.
Dubbed the 'PS4K/PS4.5', this alleged upgraded console will boast an even larger amount of power than its already decently endowed predecessor. Although Sony has yet to make any form of comment on the matter, it certainly is an intriguing topic to ponder on. What makes this situation even more interesting is that if this really is true, it could have a notable effect on the NX.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

TG writes: If you’ve ever wanted that chaotic, large-scale modern warfare feeling from Battlefield but in full VR immersion, Forefront delivers it better than anything else currently available on Quest.
So PS4.5 is going to be an upgraded PS4 and my PS4 will not run PS4.5 games?!? It might as well be PS5.
PC master race!!!
Not much in terms of gaming...
A PS4 will not be playing games at 4K so don't expect that. It is an achievement to even get 60 fps at 1080p for consoles.
There are rumors of NX consoles being able to supplement one another when in stand by and if that is the case power will become irrelevant when millions of consoles are working together in tandem.
So how could one rumour affect another rumour that has a little more than a confirmation of its existence?
I don't know.
LET'S SPECULATE ON CLOUDS.
