Review: Quantum Break | Windows Central

You'd need a quantum singularity to condense everything there is to love about Quantum Break.

Disregarding the fact Quantum Break is one of the most visually enthralling games I've ever played, forgetting its supremely satisfying and strategic take on third-person shooting; Quantum Break's story and its delivery are jewels that enrich the entire medium.

Quantum Break is an unrivalled experience, and quite possibly the Xbox One's first true killer app.

It's about time.

Another great score for a true masterpiece. My overwhelming hype for this game remains!

Rookie_Monster3688d ago

9s, 9s everywhere. Dang! Day one.

Monstar3688d ago

actually it a few 7's 8's and one 4/10.....gamespot gave it a 6.

A great score from a site named after the platform that the game is exclusive to...definitely legit.

JJShredder3688d ago

Didn't Dualshockers give it a 9 as well?

Your logic is flawed.....

starchild3688d ago

Yeah, but it has been getting lots of 9s from all sorts of sites. The majority of scores for this game have been very positive (e.g. 8s, 9s and 10s).

And go to metacritic and notice how many of the highest scores for Sony exclusives come from sites with something Playstation-related as their names. Should we discount all of those as well?

Don't let it bother you. Reviews are just opinions, and you know what they say about those.

I agree definitely legit considering around a 3rd of it's reviews have been 9s or higher.

MattE3688d ago

Give us the numbers boss.. How many 8/9s compared to anything lower?

JezC3688d ago

I wish I was cool enough to get offered money to lie about my feelings, alas, I am not :( (and I'm more than okay with that).

Looks to be a good game. But a masterpiece? Perhaps that's a bit of a stretch. I'll be getting it regardless.

However, unless people were personally involved in the development of the game, they should not take some of the low review scores to heart. The low scores just mean that next time around, they'll make it even better.

DigitalRaptor3686d ago

Hmmm doesn't seem like Remedy's games are getting better each time around, unfortunately: http://www.metacritic.com/c...

DigitalRaptor3686d ago

The game isn't even a masterpiece, let alone a "true" one.

Another great score. The game is obviously getting more positive scores that are 70-100, then the lower scores that are 60 and lower. Gamers should just play the game for themselves though, as that is really the only way you will know if it's your cup of tea or not. This game won't be for everyone. I'm glad to see it's getting a lot of positive press so far. Hopefully the game will sell well enough for a sequel. Time will tell.
