Does it work with the original 18 year old Baldurs Gate?

andibandit3716d ago

It says Requires the Enhanced Edition on steam.

Too many games, can't be going back and replaying all the classics.

I recently replayed doom and doom 2 in anticipation of DOOM! I also re-purchased all the quakes (could only find expansiom discs)

I replayed deus ex before i was going to play human revolution and never got around to human revolution ...

I purchased all the tomb raiders after playing the reboot, but didn't replay a single one of them.

... the struggle is real

Devs stopped making games like Baldur's Gate 'because retailers told us no one wanted to buy them'

Hope writes: "Classic RPGs make up some of the most formative examples of late '90s to early 2000s PC gaming in my memory, but I also remember when they weirdly disappeared. If you loved games like the original Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale, or Planescape, and also wondered why we stopped seeing these kinds of titles for a bit there, well it turns out you can blame physical retailers for the decline in Dungeons-and-Dragons-style PC RPGs."

I would have loved to have bought Baldur's Gate 3 if it would have had a physical release (not the censored Japanese release).

Notellin237d ago

Why can't you just buy the physical release? I have an opened one on Xbox and a sealed collector's edition for PS5.

Are you just not capable of searching online?

Buy the euro version? That is available to purchase. The North American version was limited and sells for a good amount on eBay.

This shtick is getting old.

anast237d ago

People want to play them. Retailers will sell them. But most dev teams can't make them.

MoneyMadness237d ago

Bear Gate 3 has a lot of nice content, but the game isn't for me.

Ape Escape.
Fun game but, wow, you need a college degree to understand the controls.
A remaster would also save you from having to constantly fight the camera.
Keep the music though. Those drum and bass tracks fit really well and haven't aged. Made me think that more games could work well with drum and bass tracks, but unfortunately it's a somewhat niche genre now.

One of the few Xbox games I own. I have 3 copies of it because of the many discs it has, for just in case reasons

jznrpg479d ago (Edited 479d ago )

Xenogears, Xenosaga trilogy, Vagrant Story, Drakengards, Parasite Eve and many more but I’ll start with those
