Ben Eberle of Gamer Professionals writes,
"The concept of No Man’s Sky has been a dream of gamers and science fiction enthusiasts for ages. Being able to explore a practically infinite galaxy in a spaceship will soon become possible in this ambitious title. After many years of production and delays, Hello Games have finally announced that No Man’s Sky will have a solid release date of June 21st. Like many others, I cannot wait to dive headfirst into this game and spend copious time exploring the limitless galaxy. To start off, let me say that this is absolutely a day one purchase for me and I am fully ready to devote myself to No Man’s Sky. There are, however, some concerns to note before its release that should help to ground people’s huge expectations. Most notably, the fun factor."
Sean writes: "Last month’s Remnant update caused much hilarity as you tooled with your newfangled gravity guns and customisable exocraft, transporting precarious industrial cargo across uneven terrain in a classic risk vs. reward fight. Our latest update is a whole different beast."

It's looking like a bore fest. . thus far.
Reminds me of those walking simulators.
It doesnt look like something you'd play for long periods.
On top of that it's ~£50

Whether it's fun or not would be up to the individual. The term is pretty subjective since not everyone likes getting entertained the same way. I thought a game like Journey was fun but I'm positive other players don't think the same. Getting captivated and lost in a universe is entertaining to folks so I think the game will deliver in that way.
These articles are all the same. This game looks great, I've always wanted a space game that was more about exploration than combat and this game has both. Regardless of what people are saying (without having played the game) No Man's Sky is doing things that have never been done before and I'm still really looking forward to it.
It's interesting but the worrying factor is no friendship and knowing people are out there in the massive universe
I'd like to see it at least offer a co-op or a meeting place even if it's only in one spot.
I'm getting the game because I buy all space flight games but I have yet to see anything gameplay wise that I am excited for. I see why the fun factor question is always brought up for this game.
