Motion Capture Tech in Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

"Facial capture and animation to a final product has been a rigid process in the past. While instant output from capture to digital representation is nothing new, if you see footage of it being used, even on mega-budget films like Avatar, it is pretty simplistic..."

Damn. This is looking really good.

I love that this team works with Andy Serkis.

Serkis was pure gold with them in Heavenly Sword.

I guess they wanted to keep the same naming scheme from their previous title. When I first heard about this game I was like...wait a minute, Hellblade is a twist on the previous title Heavenly Sword... Heavenly became Hell, Sword became blade.

I guess they've developed quite the rapport with Andy Serkis to get him on board again.

Its looking great!

Ya this is an incredible team. Each of their titles has a unique flow that only Ninja Theory can provide. And it takes so much courage on their side to be tackling such an important subject. I hope every person that experiences this story finds some sort of light for any of their dark corners.

I wish Ninja Theory as much success as possible, not just financially but recognition for their work as a form of therapy.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Review | What's It Like In 2024?

Admittedly, Hellblade: Senua's Saga is far from perfect and won't be a game for everyone, but now with a multitude of accessibility options it has made itself much more palatable for a wider audience, and with constant sale prices between $2-$4, Hellblade: Senua's Saga is too good to pass up for a unique experience that has stood the test of time and will do so once more with its even more robust and epic sequel.

The only thing epic about this “game” is how longnit took to make.

The Hellblade games looked nice but they were essentially walking simulators with a minimal amount of combat tracked on.

willykyu320d ago

At long last, it’s about time they upgraded it !
I didn’t like hellblade 2 at all, which lost all its mystery and originality in this graphically superb but extremely boring sequel. But I loved the first one. And I was pretty annoyed it was stuck on ps4 version on ps5. Bugs and didn’t run that well.
Now I’m going to play it all over again !!! In its nicest version on PlayStation.
