imagine a machine with the tag price of a Wii but the power of the X360 and with the motion controller everybody seems to love. this would be an instant win!

it would be so hilarious too. a console much more powerful than a Wii at a lower price. that would put people to think, why are we wasting time and money on that Wii piece of crap that looks like a GameCube and doesn't even has HD capabilities.

The controller will most likely be more similar to the PS3 controller than the Wii controller and will most likely just be a gimmick, so Nintendo has nothing to worry about.

Not to mention they are saving some sort of big event to announce the mew Bungie game and their new Knights of the Old Republic MMO (both exclusive to the 360) as well as the rest of their new coming line up.

The Xbox 360 Motion controller rumors will never go away will it? Microsoft themselves even denied a Motion Sensing controller.

But even if this was true, a Xbox 360 priced at $199 and with a Motion Sensing controller still would be no threat to Nintendo's Wii at all... the 360 is cheaper than the Wii in Europe and the Wii still does damage.

This may sound silly, but I wonder if people will start to undervalue the Xbox 360 Arcade model in comparison to the Wii because when people that don't know much about gaming or keep up with gaming news see the Arcade 360 at $199 and the Wii still at $250, they might be thinking " The Wii must be a better system than the 360 because the 360 is so cheap". The reason why I say this is because usually people associate a better or higher end product with a higher price, but that's just my opinion.

Another hit or miss bundle..just like the $299.99 20 gig 360.

And E3 is what exactly? The biggest gameshow ever? Ive been to classes that are bigger than the joke E3 has become.looks like a party that nobody attends.

that wii has done an excellent marketing campaign. most people think of motion control and associate it with wii. I am not sure Microsoft can reach them but if it happens it will be interesting to see.

I really don't get the Wii haters. How does this demographic affect the alleged "hardcore gamers?" Assuming that owning a 360 or PS3 is a prerequisite for being "hardcore," I would think that anything happening in the world of Wii would either be of no concern, or would stand to benefit the hardcore crowd. You still get your "AAA" super-deluxe, extended dance mix, multi-billion dollar production cost game of the millenium, and hey, maybe the Wii innovation induces MS or Sony to think outside the box a little. All good for the hardcore crowd.

And spare me the nonsense about how people paying X amount of dollars angers you. You may see it as a Gamecube with a fancy controller. Well, I was in TRU last week and saw a father walking out of the store with his 6 or 7 year old daughter and their brand new Wii. The smile on her face and the pure joy she displayed to her Dad was priceless… literally. I don't think her Dad even gave the cost a second thought.

It's pure arrogance that the Wii haters believe Nintendo should cater to their vision of what is "worth it." I would not be surprised if someone bought a 360 or PS3 expecting a high-end Wii, wound up returning it and getting the Wii once they discovered the ridiculous fanboy warmongers in the communities.

What is Microsoft doing? Focus on something and do it well than move on! They have far from conquered the console market by any means. You make these moves once you clearly have everything under control the way the present console is configured right now. They should realise that Sony is gaining ground with the hardcore and with some marketing will gain the casuals because Sony is good at reaching that demographic their history proves this. Microsoft has proved they can hang with the big boys but to take on two jugernaughts with the same system is far too ambitious. They should stick with making strides to reach other gamers with something new not just copy everyone.
