Depends on the individual , as for me am not a Sony consumer of any kind so Rift may be the one i get into .

Is it just me or N4G is run by a bunch of Christian fanatics?.
I hope both succeed and I see advantaged to each. It'll be rough in the first gen because you're trying to make stuff that is accessible due to price, but still a quality product. At this point it seems to me that Rift is the better product with better library of games, so I'm leaning more that way myself, but I can see PSVR doing really well due to the fact that it's much more attainable to the average gamer, and therefore will get the most support off the bat. I think 2nd gen is more when we will see things start to shape up...and that's when VR will really start to shine IMO...right now (esp on PSVR) it seems mostly just like "half-games" and tech demos, with games being compromised in order to run in VR....by Gen 2 I see that going away.
Seems like what people really want is the option to turn any game they own into a true VR experience if they wish....and it's just not quite there yet....but knocking on the door.
Thats completely subjective and down to the individual but I know PSVR will be better for more gamers, not that that matters. You all know my opinion that all the players are on the VR train together.
Game must be compatible with all headset or its an imminent kinect like failure...Im in for VR but i will wait and see before i pull the trigger on a 600$ toy and look it sleep on my desk.
