Hellblade - The Senua Trailer | PS4

PlayStation:

A scene from upcoming PlayStation 4 title Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice from Ninja Theory.

Genuine-User3734d ago (Edited 3734d ago )

The trailer had me hooked till the very end.

Quality eerie music and surprisingly natural voice acting.

DragonDDark3734d ago

Wear headphones, you'll hear sounds going left and right.
REPEAT: i recommend Headphones.

Genuine-User3734d ago

Will do once I have access to some headphones. Thanks!

the_dark_one3734d ago

uuuuuuuuhhhh the sounds i could see the sounds, amazing trailer, and i can see it will be a bit of nerve wrecking experience, which sounds lovely :)

rainslacker3734d ago

It's games like these that make me glad I invested in a really good surround sound system. Some games are so much different if they take advantage of 7.1 and distinct directional sounds...something UE4 supports natively.:)

Goldby3734d ago

ya i cant wait to see what Ninja Theory has done to give people who suffer from Psychosis and Depression a voice. i really hope that the team recieves many letters explaining how that game saved their or their kids life.

i have so much honor for them to be tackling this alone, and chose not to take on a publisher for this. that takes alot of courage and should be respected accordingly

DragonDDark3734d ago (Edited 3734d ago )

Trailer was Intense and beautiful. Can not wait

Goldby3734d ago

i've been watching this all day, on repeat.

...

it gets creepier the more you listen to it

winterskygamer3734d ago

Crazy that the PS4 is capable of this visuals

Kyanu3734d ago

Is that even in-game/in-engine? Hard to believe tbh. Looks more like a CGI-Trailer. Nonetheless it looks quite awesome.

kowan3734d ago

I'm pretty sure that was in-game but probably a cutscene definitely not a CGI trailer. And yes the Ps4 is more than capable of handling something like that in-game.

LP-Eleven3734d ago

In-engine. The game-play won't look quite as good (but it will be close).

Kyanu3734d ago

@kowan:
Haven't seen anything close to that on the PS4/XboxOne before that's why I'm sceptical. Not least because previous footage of the game hasn't looked half as good as this trailer.

Hope to be proven wrong in the near future though. ;)

Kyanu3734d ago

@LP-Eleven:
Yeah pre-rendered in-engine sounds more legit to me.

its_JEFF3734d ago

@Kyanu is it still considered "pre-rendered" if it's in-engine? I don't even know if that matters or not.

I'm thinking it's in-engine but with some touching up here and there!!! Only because it's such a small team making that game that I don't know if they would have the time to dedicate to a CGI trailer.

Kyanu3734d ago

Okay, according to this developer diary it is indeed real-time in-engine. Absolutely stunning.

But I won't get my hopes up too high. Too often have I been disappointed by downgrades in the past.

How..? Game plays nothing like TR. What looked like TR?

Skate-AK3734d ago

Well because it has a female lead. /s

Fishy Fingers3734d ago

Plays? The only gameplay trailer looked like resident evils tank style controls. It looked clunky at best. Probably why they went back to the drawing board.

Playable_Gamez3734d ago

Bro this game, looks nothing like Tomb Raider.

LP-Eleven3734d ago

Looks absolutely nothing like Tomb Raider.

rainslacker3734d ago

Looks more like a darker Heavenly Sword. Personal psychoses and ambiguously evil divine compelling forces included.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Review | What's It Like In 2024?

Admittedly, Hellblade: Senua's Saga is far from perfect and won't be a game for everyone, but now with a multitude of accessibility options it has made itself much more palatable for a wider audience, and with constant sale prices between $2-$4, Hellblade: Senua's Saga is too good to pass up for a unique experience that has stood the test of time and will do so once more with its even more robust and epic sequel.

The only thing epic about this “game” is how longnit took to make.

90sGamingWasBetter629d ago

The Hellblade games looked nice but they were essentially walking simulators with a minimal amount of combat tracked on.

willykyu301d ago

At long last, it’s about time they upgraded it !
I didn’t like hellblade 2 at all, which lost all its mystery and originality in this graphically superb but extremely boring sequel. But I loved the first one. And I was pretty annoyed it was stuck on ps4 version on ps5. Bugs and didn’t run that well.
Now I’m going to play it all over again !!! In its nicest version on PlayStation.
