Broforce has performance issues on PS4

Digital Foundry:
There's another issue on top of this. Each time we begin a new stage, our leading bro freezes in place mid-motion within the first few seconds of play. The game continues regardless, but player control is suspended for a few frames - bringing the character to an abrupt halt, and making it too easy to perilously mistime jumps at the start of a level. Given each stage lasts between 30 and 60 seconds, it's a frequent enough bug to frustrate, and we hope it's easy to address down the line.

I really hate how badly optimized this good game is.

UltimateMaster3613d ago (Edited 3613d ago )

Hope they patch it. It's a great game.
It's free on PS+ this month.

I hate the brief character freeze/lag when respawning. Despite issues I managed to finish it though, last boss fight was in like... 10 fps, but I kept playing cuuz it was a fun game.

UltimateMaster3613d ago

Especially in the end *spoilers* where you need to run for your life and get stuck. Almost impossible to complete. Almost... I finished it.

ThanatosDMC3613d ago

I hated it at first but playing with my buddies made the first jump in every level hilarious.

Genuine-User3613d ago

Terrible performance. Hope it gets patched soon.

Another Unity game with poor performance, not shocked.

Broforce has problems on PS4? Sounds like a real eye-opener.

Hold_It3613d ago

it's simple really. It's a sprite based game that has very very low system requirements for PC and for the longest time people have claimed that the PS4 is on par with a $850 desktop.

If you it can't run Broforce without issues, than clearly the system is not what it's cracked out to be.

KwietStorm_BLM3613d ago (Edited 3613d ago )

Lol that's not really your argument, is it? That's the most juvenile process of elimination anyone could come up with. What about the other sprite based games that don't have the same issues? What about EVERYTHING else that doesn't have issues? Some games have bugs, regardless of the platform. But this one game having problems is an eye opener for the whole platform? Haha

Hold_It3613d ago

It's funny you call that juvenile, but you couldn't understand that's what I meant by my original post. I think the only thing juvenile here is your level of reading comprehension.

KwietStorm_BLM3613d ago

I didn't comprehend that's what you were saying originally because it never occurred to me that someone would actually be making such a stupid argument. I gave you more credit than that. But trolling video game systems is juvenile, whichever way you want to put it.

Yetter3612d ago

I'd say its more likely a problem with Unity support for the PS4.

I don't remember if you save the world in that game but Urban Chaos: Riot Response was one of the most american games back in the day, I've never even been to the country and that game was still rad.
