PSP 3000 will work on SDTV's? I really hope that's true. I have an HDTV, but it's 54inch, and, other family members watch it so, I really only use it for PS3....

But plugging things up to an SDTV is great. I'll buy a 3000. I currently have a 1000. =|

It also appears there are differences in:
- Weight
- Button configuration
- Video output capability
- New unintetionally comic name

A hardware improvement I would like to see would be a 2100mAh slim battery coming with the PSP-300 instead the very weak 1200mAh battery that also comes on the PSP-2000.

I'm just imagining that since this new PSP has a more powerfull LCD screen but uses the same old PSP-2000 battery then it will frustrate many,many users.

still only feels like the psp-3000 only includes a microphone and improved screen. Did anybody pick up the blue psp maddden bundle?

protection from dust getting underneath the screen and I will buy. Dust under the screen gets on my nerves.

i dont understand why sony dont spend more time on uprgrading their psp models rather than having say three consoles that are jus differ slightly why not spend more time and bring out a much improved version with all new ideas inclusive, i think this approach would be better for sony and more appealing to buy whilst not dissapointing the people who have just bought the 'slim' version leaving them feeling like ... damn!

That is a very Big user base for Both companys
Kinda Late in the game For x-box handheld to come into play.
(Unless its NEXT gen.. and Dosnt come out for 4-5 years LOL )

Sony isnt a Software Company like M$ is
Sony's Core is Hardware/

If M$ did a Hand Held... it would do as well as ZUne dose

Only way i see micro soft getting into handheld gaming would be SOme form of palm or Blackberry Phone type of thing.. With X-box live arcade games on it or something to that effect. But i suspect that Most any new Handheld WIll Die off as Quick as That Gizmondo thing

Microsoft is not really interested in Handhelds at the moment.

I messed up my UMD drive closing mechanism a while ago by dropping it, this rendition of the PSP looks great, I really don't get the hate on the anologue nub.
Its more or less a handheld Dreamcast.
Jet Set Radio really needs to come out for the PSP, it'll be great, they don't need to change ONE control...as proved with Powerstone Collection and Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars.

Man if MS came out w/ a portable it'll melt in your hands cuz of the the mini RROD.
Sony PWNS once again w/ the new PSP, PS2 still making hits, and PS3 will takeover by the end of the year.

I think I'll buy one (my first PSP) but I wish they include a hard drive or better more they design a new model for next gen games (PSP2 ?)

No 2nd AnalogStick? No inproved memory system or Harddrive? (although not nessecary...yet) I think SONY is already planning a "spanking-new" model, but their trying to exhaust this one here. There will be no PSP-4000, just a whole new handheld.

add a 2nd stick for FPS's....what do you think that empty space under the x button is for?
