By Julian Benson, Last month I got all excited because Remedy had trademarked Alan Wake's Return. The developer has long talked about wanting to return to the series and with Quantum Break's release just around the corner it looked like the studio could be spooling up to begin work on an Alan Wake sequel.
However, what the trademark actually refers to is an in-game video series, similar to the Lords and Ladies videos in the Max Payne games. Unlike the simple images that appeared on TV screens in Max Payne, though, Alan Wake's Return comprises full, live-action mini episodes, starring Remedy's creative director Sam Lake.

Sam Lake has been a key player behind the success of Remedy Entertainment, and the heart of classics like Max Payne, Quantum Break and Control.

After 2019’s Control became a breakout hit, Remedy’s creative director Sam Lake has returned with Alan Wake 2 – his strangest game yet.

...it's a way of life.
i dont get it, critical response was really really good and reported past 4.5 million sales in 2015 why not make a "sequel".
