GameSpy writes: "Alongside the likes of MadWorld, Platinum Games' Bayonetta is another title borne from the creative minds of former Capcom producers. In the case of MadWorld, it's Okami's Atsushi Inaba. Bayonetta comes from Hideki Kamiya, the mastermind behind Devil May Cry. Although MadWorld is a stark departure from Okami's aesthetically lush retelling of Japanese legend, Bayonetta's really not that far removed from a certain demon hunter in a red trenchcoat. Whether that appeals to you or not depends on how much you love Capcom's flagship series.
If you're not up to speed on this angel-hunting witch, check out our E3 preview. Platinum's titles made their European debut at Games Convention, and like MadWorld, Bayonetta's updated content is rather impressive but really isn't as earth-shattering as we'd hoped. Although some of us on staff really liked what we saw at E3, others aren't in total agreement. Kamiya promised that he'd create a game that redefined the action genre. Although we haven't played Bayonetta, it's not an outrageous assumption to presume that "redefinition" could equal "DMC5," only without demons and silver-haired guys and with ugly angels."
Spiffy:
+A Devil May Cry-style action game with some slick (if not exceptionally weird) aesthetics
Iffy:
-Currently seems just a little too much like DMC
-How deep will the gameplay be

Creator of Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, Okami, Viewtiful Joe, and Wonderful 101 comments on how they're all part of the same universe.
I could definitely see a Bayonetta/Dante game. Imagine them initially battling each other before eventually teaming up to take on the big baddies. Now, imagine what their child(ren) would be like.
Bayonetta and Dante I could see but even then with how their lore differs it's a hard sell. For the others...I just can't see it at all.
I feel he's just saying whatever comes to him online

She also played Chun-Li and Major from Ghost in the Shell
oh shit, i did know that the Major voice actress passed away but i didnt know she voiced bayonetta too
rest in peace

The creator of the Bayonetta franchise Hideki Kamiya appeared in an interview and discussed the plans for the future of the series.
