"It is [an indication of something on Remedy's mind] but you shouldn't take it as a promise, this is something that is fan service, but having said that we have a very clear idea of what the future of Alan Wake would be, if we get to do it."

He doesn't exactly confirm the sequel, we know its coming and probably we will see it at E3 but the title is misleading because he didn't confirm it.

Still DAY 1 whenever its coming.

It is coming. Why would they hide a trailer of Alan Wakes Return in Quantum Break? I imagine one of the endings in QB will feature Alan Wake or maybe Jack gets a phone call, he picks it up and hears “Hello Jack, It's me Alan Wake” :)

Never played Alan Wake but ive heard many good things about it so this is good news indeed.

Kurisu3738d ago

Same here, pre-ordered Quantum Break so I look forward to trying out Alan Wake, too! Not long now.

Amazing game. The story telling is awesome, the tv show episode format is really cool.

DarkOcelet3738d ago

The best way to play it right now is to Pre Order Quantum Break on XboxOne.

You get the two Alan Wake's games with all their dlc and you get another Quantum Break copy for PC.

That is almost 150$ value for 60$. I wouldn't miss that.

Yeah when i cop my Xbone (more than likely during the next black Friday, when the crazy deals go up) i will be buying QB and hopefully getting ready to buy the newly announced Alan Wake ;).

incredible game... you will enjoy it.

FlexLuger3738d ago

Not gonna happen. It will be a Xbox/W10 exclusive.

jb2273737d ago

Nah, Halo 6 for Nintendo's not gonna happen, Remedy can do whatever they please w/ Alan Wake & Spencer himself has said he'd prefer to own any ip they develop. MS doesn't own Alan Wake so unless QB sells gangbusters then MS may let Remedy go multiplat w/ Alan Wake. Ultimately the decision doesn't lie w/ MS so it could theoretically happen, that's the entire point. People can disagree w/ sheer facts all they'd like but I'm not sure why it would matter seeing as how Xbox gamers would still have access to the game, they just wouldn't have the bragging rights that so many claim no longer matter.

Remedy is a third party dev, love to see what they could do in that capacity personally, either way it'll result in more sales potential and profits for Remedy so anyone who enjoys the dev's work should support that move just as much as they'd support Quantum Break also hitting PC to gain more sales & fans for the studio.

Wishful thinking and port begging is not goingto change the fact that its not gonna happen. Funny thing is I never see xbox guys clamouting for PS exclusives....what happened to "teh 40 million sells" and all that variety? yet you here you are still....Begging for xbox games. Buy one or build a good 10 PC....If you really can afford it.

ScorpiusX3737d ago

But if QB is a hit , no reason to let the Developer go anywhere . i say MS buy Remedy so to end this Multiplatform nonsense.

Free_Fro3738d ago

oh man..

Alan Wake ^_^

I could never say no to that..

bring it..

A Late Look: Alan Wake

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "All in all, it’s not hard to see why Alan Wake has received a bit of a cult following (there’s that famous foreshadowing again). It’s a title that blends themes and gameplay, while pushing the limits of storytelling by putting stories within stories and letting you read those stories before you get to that part in… the story. It has flaws, to be sure - the gameplay side can’t quite keep up with the rest of its ambitions - but overall it’s a great game that stands out among its peers and is undeniably… one for the books."
