David has been to the stone age with this review and has believes this is one of the best Far Cry games to date and experiences to play this year, writing:
"Having put to rest all of my prior concerns, Far Cry Primal is an absolute must-play for newcomers and fans of the series alike. If you're not in to the standard Ubisoft Montreal way of doing things, this will do nothing to change that, and though it lacks some of the best features in a Far Cry game as a result of its time-period, it includes some fresh elements that help it stand on its own two feet."
Far Cry Primal was a bigger switch for the series, and can provide a good template for a possible New Dawn sequel.
