They should be finding ways to expand the map, add new hazards, more equipment to climb, survival mechanics, new vehicles like helicopters, submarines, planes, bikes and new weapons.
Seriously one of the games in the future needs to start you off on one side of the map which is mostly an island/jungle with mountains and the like and you only have a lighter, a combat knife, a few medical supplies. The first chapter of the game is surviving and working your way off the island to the main land which is a little bit more urban.
I think they should keep trying out different stuff.

It has me thinking on what other types of things they could do..
I was thinking FarCry in the Medieval times would be pretty cool.
or a FarCry game centered around the Samurai...
