Are the recent BioWare departures rats fleeing a sinking ship or business as usual?
While Mass Effect: Andromeda was let in several key areas, one of its approaches to romances is something Mass Effect 4 should consider revisiting.
I hope Mass Effect 4 ignores the inferior prequels and instead closely follows the far superior Mass Effect: Andromeda and Dragon Age Inquisition.
Mass Effect 4 should just make Mass Effect 1 but better with current tech. Fans would be happy. As far as romance, they should take notes from the Witcher and Cyberpunk.
Later Bioware games have to little build up. You can have a normal conversation and all of a sudden BAM! The character you talk to becomes super flirty.
Reminds me of Baldur’s Gate. I wanted to practice some magic and Gale made it super weird. Not even gonna mention Astarion.

other than that, i found every character to be very annoying.

One of the best things about the Mas Effect series is the companions you meet along the way. So here is a tier list of all the companions from Mass Effect!
To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.
some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

BioWare thinks Mass Effect: Andromeda was a better game than what reception suggested; taught the studio not to shoehorn open-world without any meaningful content in it.
I played it and it wasn't as bad as people said. Is it in the 8-10 range? No.
It's a 6-7, which means it's a solid game.
Veilguard and Andromeda are of similar level to me.
6 to 6.5 ish

I agree with you It was a 6.5 type game. Gameplay was solid everything else was lacking. Playing at launch with all the issues was just absurd. EA could have let the developers keep patching and fix the game but they stopped just like they did with anthem. It’s crazy to think multi billion dollar publishers can’t afford to keeping patching their games get medium size developers can support the game for years

Except 6-7 doesn't translate as solid. 6 means a bit flimsy, but still good/enjoyable if you can look past the flaws. 7, a little less flimsy, and enjoyable. 8-10 would be "solid".
But I get your point. I skipped the game entirely, so I don't have an opinion on it.
I played this game back when I wanted to give every game I bought a fair chance and finish it, it was the reason why I stopped doing so, god the game was bad
I actually enjoyed Andromeda. It wasn't a 10/10, by any means, but I played it years after the fact, after a lot of patching, and I had a good time with it.
I liked it as well, and also played it for the first time over a year after it was released. The original trilogy was a better story overall IMO but I still enjoyed Andromeda.

You might want to try playing a truly bad game. Go boot up two worlds or gollum to get the perspective you need
Lol. Its one of the only games that I have experienced buyers remorse with. The only one I can think of is riders Republic.
So delusional, the title was an embarrassment to the original trilogy. it’s the equivalent of 2042 to the battlefield franchise.
Hyperbole much? Seesh. Why panic at all. It is likely that at this stage in development all the writing has been completed, and maybe even much of the production, so the writers are no longer needed on the project in that capacity.
But regardless, there is no need to start creating hysteria for the sake of it. People move on from projects and get replaced all the time, it hardly affects the project in most cases.
My bet is that Msss Effect Andromeda will still be a great game.

Gaider has nothing to do with the mass effect team and he was all dragon age.
Casey Hudson, well we know what he did to Mass Effect 3 so.
Why are we still acting like if ME Andromeda is still "mid production", from the devs themselves, the game is already in a playable state and is releasing this year. It's not like the game is coming out in 2019.
If DAI is anything to go by there isn't much hope for Andromeda. I hope they don't make the same mistakes.
