GameSpy: Pure Preview

GameSpy writes: "Last week, we got a chance to mix it up multiplayer-style on the mud-encrusted tracks of Disney's Pure. Even in the early edition that we played, Pure already seems to be shaping up into an intuitive skid fest with simple controls that leave you free to focus on tricking your way to first place. The physics capture the squirrelly nature of ATV racing while the trick system encourages you to push these unstable and horrifically dangerous vehicles past the bounds of sanity. It's a lot like the old SSX series, but with ATVs instead of snowboards and goofy character avatars. The tracks also seem to offer a plethora of hidden shortcuts and branching paths and deliver a good amount of variety in any given race. During multiplayer, the numerous shortcuts mean that veterans ride with a substantial advantage, adding a bit of extra depth that is surprising in such a simple racer."

Spiffy:
+Multiple routes through tracks
+Lots of crazy tricks
+Quality physics with responsive controls

Iffy:
-Too big on tricking/boosting in multiplayer?
-Few multiplayer tracks available for testing

Rumble Racing was really good so was Pure. I was always sad they did not release more of Rumble Racing. It was nascar but in an arcade form which was fun to the average fan.
