Pretty sure that at this point, the entire industry has just gone downhill with corrupt and terrible practices. Season passes, micro transactions, cinematic experiences... Games no longer really feel "fun" and it's gotten to the point that I can't even enjoy the current gen properly. :(

There is no perfect game. In my opinion Mass Effect 2 > Mass Effect 3.

Doesn't have the charm of the original. Really the only thing wrong with the original was all the technical side of things. Like loading and glitches and hiccups.

I thought Mass Effect 2 was the Empire Strikes Back of the trilogy. It was such a great story and had some of the best character interactions I have played in a game.

Loved the action and especially the story of part 2. Part one is my second favorite followed by part 3.

The ending was disappointing, for sure, but the rest of the game is a amazing. Seriously, Rannoch is one of the best moments in gaming ever.

The story writers obviously didn't go for a more happy ending like with most games. Where the alliance manages to wipe out the enemy and live happily ever after.

I do however respect their decision even though I didn't like it.

When I look back at how over powered the reapers were. I think that the ending(s) they came up with where the more realistic endings they could think of.

Imagine 1 reaper that almost takes all of your ships to bombard to kill it. Then imagine thousands of them.

We are talking about a robotic race that have harvested hundreds of advance lifeforms before in cycles.

Looking back to sovereign and the reapers in general. I realized that I was just being a fool for thinking that it would end great for everyone.

Still, I hate those colored pills lol!

I would agree, but the Wii U version I bought, in the hopes of trying to convince third parties that I actually wanted them to continue trying until they started doing their games THE RIGHT WAY for the system, doesn't have all of the same content as others, so outside of the storyline being fine up until the ending, I can't accurately judge just how good the "full game" really was.

Especially the multiplayer.

Ya could have just made and released the ME Collector's Edition with all three games in one to us with all the content, but nooooooo. You had to use every excuse in the book to make Nintendo fans hate third parties like you even more than they used to.

ME3 was by far the best of the trilogy and probably the best last gen title, period. Gaming has been bland since ME3 came out near the end of the last console generation. Just not much innovation. ME was so ambitious...and probably cost a lot of money to make...but you don't see that kind of innovation anymore, at all. And enough choices do carry over and matter in the end game. My only complaint is how they changed Javik's role in the game after the leak.

Those of you who claim that games make you cry (of which I believe 99% of the time is total horseshit). Are you really THAT emotionally fragile?

lol no, it was a very good third person shooter game, but a very disappointing mass effect game.

I'm a big ME fan and I love 3. That being said, the ending ruined the game. So no, ME3 is not perfection.

Instead i want a new Dead Space.

I loved and replayed ME1 and ME2 multiple times, despite their flaws in some areas. I played ME3 only once when it was released. It has some nice ideas and improvments here and there, mainly gameplay wise, but overall it was an underwhelming experience to me.

I saw that a few of the writing team from ME1/ME2 left together with the lead writer. They had filled the gap with new writers and people who had previous minor roles on the ME games. That may have been a reason that ME3 felt so uneven to me.

About the ending, the indoctrination explanation from the community back then made an more satisfying attempt to explain that inept Star Child/three color ending. I haven't played the patched ending of ME3, but I read Bioware was quick to debunk the indoctrination theory and sticking to their previous concept.

I just always found it funny ME3 ripped Gurren Lagann off and didn't even try and hide it. I guess they thought oh it's Japanese no one playing ME3 would notice.

Just weeks before ME3's release i told to my cousin how excited i was to play ME3 with my existing character and then start a new playthrough with an evil character. Just to see how different ending i would get and how my choices would play out.
Then ME3 released, played it through, and haven't touched any ME's since.

I just hope its better than ME3.. It was strayed away from what made it so special.. Maybe EA forced bioware to make it mainstream & easy enough for a 6 yr old

I don't know about PERFECT. Gameplay wise, and everything up to the very end, I would agree. I don't totally hate the ending anymore because the extended cut added a little bit more clarity.

However, I think it's incredibly stupid, because I worked hard to bring peace between the Quarians and the Geth, and destroy ending kils all the Geth. So unless they say something like, the Quarians fixed the Geth, that just doesn't sit right with me.

Also, Synthesis ending? What the hell? It's the only way to ensure that everyone lives, but how could I have the audacity to force ALL synthetic and biological life to become as one???!!!!!!

As bad as the ending is in ME3, I've still played through it a handful of times and will again. Hell, I was going to re-do the entire trilogy again before Andromeda comes out, so I can listen for any references to the original trilogy.

I loved the game for the most part, but man did I hate the whole Shepard dream sequence thing where he's chasing the boy. That was just weird, unnecessary and annoying.

ME2 still stands as my favorite with the storyline, characters and the best intro to a game I've seen in a long time. ME3 felt like a conclusion from the moment you started the game, it was a bit depressing.

I feel for Bioware, i mean i get the complaints for the game the last 10 minutes seemed unfinished. But i think fans should look at it this way if bioware made the ending fans really wanted it might of caused more upset. I mean what if you came into the franchise from the 3rd game and got a bad ending which was irreversible? or the second game and got an ending you couldn't change because you didn't play the game from the first one?

I think Bioware must of felt that if they had kept their original vision for the franchise fans would have to play the whole saga again if they felt they didn't get the ending they wanted. All this because a possible mistake in the first game caused them to have a weak ending. Another possibilty would of been some fans not making it to the end forcing them to play the whole trilogy again and having them feel like they spent 180hr for nothing.

I think Bioware wanted everyone to experience the ending and not feel "left out" even if they came into the franchise from the 3rd game spending 60+ hours on its campaign. So they gave us all an a,b,c ending so that everyone could see the conclusion to the story even if it was weak story telling i think

ME2 was the better game. ME3 was the better story...minus the ending.

The whole trilogy is perfection to me.
