Five Ways Fallout 4 Is Still Fun After Three Months

Happy three month anniversary, Fallout 4! Spent most of your dedicated gaming time in the final stretch of 2015 on Bethesda's life devouring open world extravaganza? It's safe to say you're not alone. Certainly many other titles worthy of playtime have been released in the last three months; Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Star Wars: Battlefront just to name a couple. If you're a die hard Fallout fan however, the allure of entering the wasteland again and again well after the first time is always looming about...

I got bored fairly fast. Need to give it another shot. The settlement creation disappointed me and then I just sort of jumped to another game. *Shrug*

Ill admit it. I have still yet to actually complete Fallout 4. I did take a month break from it. But I just spend most of my time building.

It's a better game when you aren't doing any quests.

To clarify:

The mainline quests, and heck, most of the side quests are ho-hum after a while. I had more fun just exploring rather than doing anything productive.

I don't see myself going back to play the game ever again unless they bring out some good dlc

Mods make it much less disappointing. When the creation kit is released the modders will have the tools to turn it into the next gen game it should've been, and when the mods become available for consoles the gamers on xbone and PS4 will be able to better enjoy the Fallout 4 that the gamers created and fixed.

They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.

Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.

So the part where you just sold the same games for the last 10 years while you focused on 76 and merch, was not a reset from the "creative" aspect eh? How very Todd of you.

I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.
