I don't get it, but thanks anyway.

The easiest way to see the difference is look at the middle to top of each comparison video and look at the bushes. They have increased the draw distance of the player's view which means that when you are running around, objects in the distance will be rendered at a further distance, so that it isn't as obvious when they fade into view.

ZaWarudo3755d ago

Oh, okay i see it now. It's nice but not a huge deal for me.

fitfox3754d ago

I didnt see it at first either but then i noticed yeah the pop in distance is much better

Hanuman3755d ago

Nice! Original draw distance was a bit disappointing. Less draw distance means less stimuli to go out exploring. In a game where you can fast-travel to a settlement wich is only 200 ft away, these stimuli are important!

I wonder if this means my settlement t won't have walls missing from a distance as often? Or if it's still a numbers game for it as just made it large.

Result! ...I notice the bush in the far distance centre/left doesn't pop in/fade in any more. Perhaps they could do like The Division and allow for certain processor heavy visual effects to be dialled down for better fps performance.

Sure the option would be a benefit to many of us.

They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.

Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.

mastershredder193d ago

So the part where you just sold the same games for the last 10 years while you focused on 76 and merch, was not a reset from the "creative" aspect eh? How very Todd of you.

lukasmain193d ago

I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.
