Almost a year ago Silent Hills – the ultra-exciting horror video game collaboration between Metal Gear auteur Hideo Kojima and fantasy movie genius Guillermo Del Toro – was cancelled.
That news hit fans like a punch to the gut, seemingly dashing hopes of a genuinely compelling reboot – and what would have been a dream team combination by anybody’s definition.
But now, there’s hope.

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.

GDC has revealed a Keynote speech by Hideo Kojima is scheduled.

The Wachowskis once approached Hideo Kojima to make a Matrix game in the late '90s, but were reportedly shut down by one of the company's higher ups, according to a former vice president of licensing at Konami Digital Entertainment.
Would be exciting to see Kojima announce a resurrection of PT on the PS4 and have del Toro on board.
Yes it could happen. In fact, it will happen. It's only a matter of time.
i dont see why not. he could just reflect on his final days with konami, slap it into a game, and im sure that would garner the same effect.
maybe, but most likely pyramid head dude wont be on that one
I don't see why not. PT had no direct tie in to Silent Hill apart from the teaser at the end. If they use a new engine and original ideas and imagery technically should be no conflict.
