Besides the obvious fact that Final Fantasy XII is the only numbered chapter of the long-running RPG series that has yet to be released for HD systems or current handhelds, there's also the fact that its late arrival on PlayStation 2 caused it to go somewhat overlooked. Not only that, but FFXII is by far the most contemporary-feeling of Final Fantasy games; its free-roaming, open-world, semi-automated combat design went over poorly a decade ago, but these days it's exactly what everyone is doing with their blockbuster games. Final Fantasy XV has spanned a decade, two names, two directors, and two consoles trying to reinvent the wheel that FFXII built so adeptly as a matter of course.

By her own admission, Leslie Swan isn't a very good self-promoter, but she needn't worry as her credits do a great job of getting across her credentials for her.

"Last Surprise" and "Mass Destruction" are two of the best Persona battle themes, no doubt.

WTMG's Leo Faria: "Super Mario 64 DS may not have been “better” than Super Mario 64, but it is indeed “more” than Super Mario 64, if that makes any sense. For a kid back in 2004, having a Nintendo 64 classic on the palm of your hand, with more content than the original, and a crapton of amazing minigames on the side, was more than enough to make me ignore the admittedly terrible controls I had to put up with. Two decades later, it bizarrely holds up. I can easily affirm it’s one of my favorite remakes of all time, even if it’s far from perfect… hell, possibly not even better than the game it was supposed to be an improvement of."
I wouldn't consider FFXII an overlooked game. It managed to sell a whopping 6 million units, which is even more than KH2 and many other well known PS2 titles.
It was also well received a decade ago, with it scoring a 92 on Metacritic. That makes it one of the most critically acclaimed titles in the franchise.
I do think it's about time Square Enix did give it the HD treatment, especially with the International Version that the North American audience missed out on.
Nintendo should also get into the habit of more HD remakes.
Secret of Mana.
SERIOUSLY.
That, or the third installment, Seiken Densetsu 3.
If Nintendo got together with Squeenix to make this a thing for the NX, I would damn near faint from happiness.
Super Mario Sunshine!!!!!!!! It already holds up so well with a beautiful art style/water/"slime" physics. Imagine better textures, water and lighting? Make the character models/enemies on par with Mario Kart 8 and it would be fantastic on Wii U!!!
Super Mario 64 should get the NX treatment. Totally remastered to look like a brand new generation game. They can launch it with NX if a Mario isn't ready.
Read Dead Redemption (with PC release)
WWF No Mercy

Just a few in my dream list.
