When Google unveiled Genie 3, an AI that generates explorable 3D worlds from simple text prompts, investors responded by dumping video game stocks en masse—wiping out billions in market value in mere hours. But in their rush to flee, Wall Street confused "playable environments" with actual video games, ignoring the technology's hard limits while threatening the human creativity that makes games worth playing. When i was a kid playing on my NES, there were fun 2 player games on 1 TV.. Now it seems children are just taking turns in GTA.. No more beat em ups, action/adventure, or platformers for them to enjoy.. My children will be brought up playing retro games 1st. Then graduate to more modern titles.. Its almost like taking away the fun of having someone with you when playing.. The net is cool but theres nothing like having friends with you while playing..
