PN2's horror expert, Mike, takes a quick look at upcoming horror title Phantasmal: City of Darkness from New Zealand indie studio, Eyemobi that's currently running through Steam Early Access.

Phantasmal: City of Darkness is a Lovecraft-inspired first-person survival horror set within a procedurally-generated Kowloon Walled City. However, despite a year-long early access period, Phantasmal is a buggy mess that suffers from an array of poor design decisions and half-baked ideas. Shame, because lurking somewhere deep below the murky surface is the potential for great a game.

MonsterVine: "Phantasmal is one of a few tragic games that I really want to like. Each component sounds great, but the execution and shoddy nature in which most aspects are presented keep it from being a game that I can truly recommend."
Hardcore Gamer: Microsoft announced that Phantasmal: City of Darkness, a horror game that promises players a terrifying experience to fill them with dreadful shock, panic and fear, will be heading to the Xbox One in the near future.
That looks cool.
Is it just me, or did that seem like it took a lot of inspiration from P.T.?
