
Since the series' inception some five years ago, there's been a resounding chorus calling out for Trackmania to make the move from PC to console, where its quick-fire blend of arcade racing and compulsive score attacks would surely make the snuggest of fits. It's somewhat of an eccentric answer that's come from developer Firebrand, however, who has posited Nintendo's DS as the first benefactor of a Trackmania port, so it's all the more surprising that the handheld is looking to make an accommodating home for the long-running PC franchise.

Gaming Target writes:
"This week, Activision brings their Little League Baseball series to the PS3 and Xbox 360 with Little League World Series Baseball 2010. The popular TrackMania also makes it's Wii debut (a DS version titled TrackMania Turbo is also on the release schedule). That's about it."

GamerZines: Ubisoft has announced in their latest release schedule that Trackmania Turbo will be released on the DS this September, coinciding with a Wii release featuring the same franchise.
