ThisGenGaming says "With the release of Resident Evil 4 in 2005, the Resident Evil series had changed everything that you knew about the series except the lead character. It was almost unrecognizable as a Resident Evil game, it was a big change but a change that was needed at the time. The series had become tiresome to many, and at a time were survival horror was considered passe. The change proved to be successful as Resident Evil 4 is not only the highest rated Resident Evil of all time, but it’s also one of the highest rated video games ever."

WTMG's Leo Faria: "It’s been nearly ten years, but Resident Evil 7 hasn’t aged a day. Its brand new Switch 2 port not only showcases that its gameplay is still fresh and tense after all these years, but also showcases how well Nintendo’s portable can handle some of the more demanding games from the previous generation, with a handful of improvements to make it look as good as its current-gen counterparts. There’s also the fact there’s a ton of extra content for you to enjoy, from videos to entire new modes and side campaigns, so this is a worthy inclusion to the Switch 2’s currently minute library, and a great excuse for you to replay one of the most important horror games released in recent memory."

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard returns the series to its horror roots, and on the Nintendo Switch 2, you can take those frights everywhere.
Capcom is bringing both Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village to Nintendo Switch next month, and now gameplay has surfaced of both titles running on the hardware. The latest episode of Capcom TV aired this week. During the show, extensive footage of both titles was shown. This is the first time we’ve seen gameplay of the ports.

Smooth gameplay already! So excited for my Generation Pack pre-order. I already platinum RE7 on PS5, but I don't have the chance to play Village.
By the way, the RE7 and RE8 included in Generation Pack are both the Gold Editions.
I am hopeful. And maybe RE7 supporting VR would be amazing.
Hopefully Capcom take the great reception it got from it VR Demo game Kitchen and put it to good use in a Resident Evil game.
No,it not
back when summer 2014 ,they said they will continue with both paths
Main number series - Actions Base
Revelations are Survivor - Horror Base.
RE 5 and 6 are first and second capcom best selling game (game still sell nowadays ).

if we ignore horror element resident evil story is high training people vs evil company (didn't umbrella create Virus and B.O.W.S and them to government/terrorist around the world ?)
RE died for me after Nemesis or I guess ZERO since it still had the good camera. Unless they switch from that damn over the shoulder 3rd person shooter view, not touching a RE game again.
Yes they should, i see a lot of clones on here saying revations was not survival horror but action like five and six smh u guys are idiots. Revelations (the 3ds game) was taking the series back to its original route nust with modernized controll what are you all smoking? Revelation was the last great resident evil game besides Re4.
If anyting they should make 7 like revelations or take it back to the RE 1,2 style.
Im currently enjoying resident evil zero thank you.
Resident Evil 4 was a great game but in my opinion it was a bad Resident Evil title. It detracted from what made the series so enthralling to begin with and it only got worse.
I'm in the camp who thinks this series should be rebooted!
