With the unexpected shift towards an episodic format, should we start reading Hitman its last rites?

Stealth action games from the Hitman series are no longer available for purchase on Russian Steam. When going to the game pages, the message “This product is not available in your region” appears. The changes were noticed to us by one of our users along with a screenshot.

The month of October is going to be filled with excitement as the Hitman franchise is commemorating its 25 years of being in the business.
It’s the 25th anniversary this year?
I’d have assumed it would have gotten something like a remastered trilogy of the original games or a remake of the first game. Something for a 25th celebration.
Super lacklustre

Cultured Vultures: With the World of Assassination Trilogy wrapped up, here's our thoughts on the best and the worst in the series.
Was it really "their" series?
Or did the series bigger issues only begin after Square bought CD?
"Instead of being released all at once, like a standard AAA game, it was going to be parcelled out"
It was actually never going to be released as a full AAA game last year or in March.
They stated from the start content would be released for free when it was at $60 prior to this change, but it was never going to release 100% in Fall last year or March this year, so I don't know where this "instead of" came from as they never actually stated that.
No where.
"If it were available all at once, I'd say maybe, but the new episodic structure is suspect. This new entry could be the one that finally dooms Agent 47"
"If"???

Sooooooooo the person writting this article doesn't know that its actually going to be made to be available all at once for digital and for disk ending of this year?
I think they might want to say "maybe" as that is the case.
It was NEVER confirmed last year or even march this year to be releasing in full ,ever.
It will have a release that gives all the content this year on disk and on digital.
Why lie? I get someone might be misinformed, but why state such a thing ,yet not google. Square and IO never actually said in Fall or March a "full" game was ever coming, the idea was behind the parts releasing. If this areas or hits where delayed to be worked on a bit longer, that is currently the situation, but no full release was happening last year or this march.

Was never going to release last year in full.
Was never going to release this march in full.
Will release as a full physical thing to play all at once and on digital this fall.
square said they will release it via physical media once all the content has been made available. so just wait
i don't understand the decision by square enix but it is what it is
After playing Life is Strange and Hitman Go, I think episodic nature of new Hitman is quite OK.
2 parts with tons of content in each...it's not exactly episodic. It maybe a different approach but considering that it's open world and has real time contracts with I think I read more than 800 contracts in each part there isn't really a reason to worry. Stop whining about and pretending it's the end of the world.
