The best FPS of 2015 is almost unplayable online. Is this really how Ubisoft wants to kick off the New Year?

Insider Gaming - "Ubisoft has cancelled yet another game, this time ending development on the Animal Crossing-inspired title Alterra."

HALIFAX (April 14, 2026) – Laid-off Ubisoft workers in Halifax have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a settlement with the video-game giant. The terms of the settlement, including the compensation employees will receive, is confidential.
I can't sit here and act like I know these workers financial situations. And I'm sure nobody wakes up WANTING to go to court. But for the sake of the industry, I wish some of these types of cases made it to trial.
Settlements allow companies to continue to do whatever abusive practices they do. While the trials (should the company lose) would actually force real changes for the better.
But again, I'm not in these workers shoes and I can understand them not wanting to risk it.

Two-day event includes exclusive reveals, trailers and playable games on show floor.
Absolutely adore the gameplay when played with friends or a decent team who doesn't want to team kill you from the word go.The servers are atrocious.Nothing worse than getting kicked in the 3rd or 4th round. The problem would appear to be getting worse as its a certainty to get kicked every second game or so now one way or the other. This is a prime example of a game that could have been delayed to iron out the problems. The beta played shit so how this passed certificate I do not know.I also would like the option to choose what type of terrorist hunt I want to play.Superb game connection and idiotic team mates aside.Fingers crossed they don't mess up The Division.
I dont know why this is always seems to be the case with me.... but as usual I'm just not experiencing these issues. I've got a great connection so maybe that helps. I never get booted from games, I start playing and I can stick with the same group of strangers for an entire night without any issues.
I adore this game. Got to level 20 last night and unlocked Ranked play. Won my first match, insane nail-biter. Something about the gameplay is just so satisfying, on both defensive and attacking sides. As a Rainbow player since Rogue Spear, Siege has exceeded my expectations.
"is almost unplayable online"
That sucks for those who find it that way. Over 30 hours in mp, almost 10 hours in Terrorist Hunt. Yeah I experience server disconnects every 5 or 6 matches but matchmaking is smooth for me.
As for the person's comment above, I've played at different times throughout the day, morning, afternoon, evening, night, past 12am EST. Most playable online for me.
Still Ubi needs to improve this.
I went to play Terrorist Hunt with a friend the night before last, and over the course of a half hour, we couldn't get into one game. We then went into some PVP matches without issue...Squads always seem to get broken up by disconnects after every 2nd or 3rd game. It's been really tough even keeping a squad together in this game. If I'm not getting disconnected, then one out of the other four people I'm playing with does get disconnected.
Lastnight, myself and a friend were playing and got disconnected from 3 separate games after playing a couple of rounds or so. The servers for this game are brutal, and frankly it's disgraceful that they released an online-only game with servers that have so many problems.
On the weekend, I spent all afternoon on the game, and spent some time in the evening, and I swear, during 6 hours or so of playing the game, at least two hours were spent trying just to get into a PvP game. This game is all over the map. You get different problems on different days, but you're usually guaranteed to run into something.
I won't be buying The Division because of these issues, and because The Division has an online scope many times bigger than that of Rainbow Six, and if they can't handle a simple online shooter, then I'm not sure how they can handle an online MMO. I'm going to keep an eye out on Ghost Recon Woodlands, but there's no way I'm pre-ordering it, and if I hear of these same complaints, then I just won't buy it....unless it goes for super super cheap.
How they could take 7-8 years to release a follow-up game, to what were two of my favorite games last generation(RSV 1&2) with such a poor level of content, and broken online servers, is beyond me. I really want to know what the hell happened to Rainbow Six Patriots....
