Can't wait to see if they announced price and release date tomorrow! Hyped! Give me horror games for this device. Will die a happy gamer

sprinterboy3797d ago

Looking fwd to horror genre, but I dont want it over saturated either.

Black0ut3797d ago

I can barely play horror games on a monitor, PSVR would kill me haha.

Y'all have a treat ahead because PSVR looks amazing!

G20WLY3797d ago

Horror games will be amazing! Imagine horror games like Slender, Outlast, Soma or even crappers like Daylight - I'll be pressing pause and lifting the visor like a nancy every 5mins for a breather lol!

Looking forward to playing Alien: Isolation on it since they already have a working VR version...

Horror? So many people paying to be made callous. No thanks to each his own ways.

I think I cant wait to see the first Turn based JRPG summon on a VR headset.

I can't wait to play Tomb raider, halo, Uncharted, gears, Street fighter, Grand theft AUTO next. In VR.

Anyone else have a kind of game that sounds any better than those?

Im hoping we can get to SAO in the next 10 years.

bluefire90163796d ago

Ace Combat Series!!! That would be epic!

ChristianTheAtheist3797d ago

Remember that the Outlast 2 teaser was revealed just a couple of months ago...

xtremexx3796d ago

oh fuck that lol, someone might actually die XD

deafdani3796d ago

Is there something happening tomorrow / today?

DeathAssassin3796d ago

The price is the only thing that can mess this up now.

XanderZane3796d ago

A lot of different things can mess this up. Everyone is interested in the price first though. After that, it will be the games, control, accessories (do we need to buy MOVE controllers or will it come with them?), etc...

G20WLY3796d ago

^You don't need Move controllers at all if you don't want/have them.

Sheesh, the naysayers need to work a little harder and do some research.

I've tried an earlier model of the prototype and even that felt good can't wait for the final version

Wallstreet373797d ago (Edited 3797d ago )

I have not read one negative preview, if anything they have all been high praise and positive from everyone from tomshardware to Cnet. They say that aesthetically it looks good and comfortable and that the VR is very well done with a much crisper and clearer image than expected and no screen door effect. Sony hardware guys are indeed wizards!

Im in day one!!!!!!

darthv723797d ago

I've liked the concept since back in the movies and arcades and even home iterations that did not really materialize (sans the stuntmaster fx) and I'm just curious of a few things.

Most are wondering about price and I really want to know about number of supported units. While it looks comfortable, is is comfortable for long periods of time? And does it offer any sort of ventilation to allow your face some breathing room (so you don't perspire). And the long term effects of the screen being so close to your eyes.

Pretty much the usual health related topics. No doubt it will present an awesome effect but what are the side affects besides the potential for motion sickness?

Eonjay3797d ago

Apparently it is very comfortable for long periods of time. The funny thing was mentioned above. We haven't heard ANY negative impression on PSVR. This is exciting.

AgentSmithPS43797d ago

I've heard it fools your eyes into relaxing so it may be 'healthier' than looking at a monitor.

Many reviewers have said it's light and not very noticeable even when moving your head quickly, the comfort seems great and it's easy to adjust too, good for people with glasses etc.

One guy even lay on the floor and shot at things and it worked with no glitches. I liked how in the bank(?) shooting game he was able to collect a lot of gun magazines, put them on the floor then use them later (instead of pulling them out of the drawers every time).

Are a bunch of games, some of which are nearly 10 years old not one being from 2026. Barely one from 2025.

I do like the irony of the closing paragraph though, "Why VR Adventure Games are Thriving". Really buddy?

mooreneco2147d ago

That’s because it’s his favourite VR adventure games thus far, a great game always a great game regardless of age - Half life 2/ Ocarina of time - are old but still among the greatest games of all time. The irony of it is several are from last year, depending on platform, have you even played VR?
