I remember modding Unreal Tournament 3 on PS3, was great fun, playing as Master Chief/Marcus Fenix on a PS3 seemed so strange, and snowboarding down a hill as a giant banana...

I think devs should take note from Epic and Bethesda and make this an option for more games!

Khaotic3796d ago

How did you mod fallout 3 on ps3. I didn't know that version supported mods

scark923796d ago

It didn't, Fallout 4 will be the first to support mods.

Khaotic3796d ago

I was pretty sure it didn't but before i looked stupid for calling him out on B.S I wanted clarification

DarkOcelet3796d ago

He said Unreal Tournament 3 not Fallout 3 btw :)

Khaotic3796d ago (Edited 3796d ago )

Eww misread that, now i feel stupid
Sorry man

scark923795d ago

Man that was the good ol days, with cloud strife too, ooo and dont forget those awesome unique characters ppl made (they were inspired by awesome shit that fit the game well) and then came modes that made it look like smash bros :D, good times. I hope beth pulls off mods for ps4, since they never really clarified it

ApolloTheBoss3796d ago

Just wait patiently for the creation kit and mods will come pouring in.

2pacalypsenow3796d ago

I think they are busy with more important things like patches etc..

Perjoss3796d ago

"I think they are busy with more important things like DOOM and Dishonored 2 etc.."

fixed your comment for you

2pacalypsenow3796d ago

is the team that works on Fallout the same making Doom and Dishonored 2?

arkard3796d ago

No, they are not the same teams.

Perjoss3796d ago

Do you really think that there are people at Bethesda that only work on Fallout and only work on DOOM? people get shifted around from team to team depending on which title is closest to being launched.

JunMei3796d ago

Fortunately, on PC, you don't even need to wait until mods are "officially" supported.

nowitzki20043796d ago

At the disagrees... So on PC we do have to wait for mod support?

DivoJones3795d ago

No, there's mods available on Nexus mods already.

Antifan3795d ago

We need the mod kits from Bethesda to truly make bigger modifications, like adding new weapons from scratch, user made quest, add gameplay mechanics etc. There's only so much modders can do right because they don't have the right tools.
That's why he's being disagreed.

JunMei3795d ago (Edited 3795d ago )

Why are people disagreeing? Mass Effect trilogy, Final Fantasy XIII trilogy, etc. Are all examples of not officially mod supported games that have mods. Every PC game is modable, whatever developers want them to be or not.

I guess people just can't have facts damage their fragile console fanboy egos.

Lighter93795d ago (Edited 3795d ago )

Maybe because you're bragging about your pc and how you already have mods. No one cares. Plus, the article is referring to "official" mods and "console" mods.

JunMei3794d ago (Edited 3794d ago )

Not bragging. Only stating. If you feel it's bragging, then you feel that this information has somehow made you feel inferior; which it shouldn't.

They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.

-Foxtrot197d ago

Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.

mastershredder197d ago

So the part where you just sold the same games for the last 10 years while you focused on 76 and merch, was not a reset from the "creative" aspect eh? How very Todd of you.

lukasmain197d ago

I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.
