Virtual Reality: Gaming's Final Frontier

Gamers Sphere: "Virtual reality has been a talking point in the gaming industry for a handful of years now. The retail release for the heavy-hitting headsets are finally slated for 2016, and plenty of people already have their hands on Google Cardboard headsets. So many bad ideas in gaming but this is not one of them

Happy new year and welcome to new way of gaming.

While I believe VR is the future of gaming, I just don't see it taking off like a rocket right at the beginning. A lot of the slow integration of VR gaming will be due to the entry cost. Possibly next gen, once VR gets cheaper and is bundled in with the console will it truly take off. Depending on the initial cost, and if not too high, I know I will be jumping in with both feet!!

It has to start somewhere...VR has plenty of applications outside gaming though. It will take off within the next 15 years for sure.

You are absolutely correct, it has to start somewhere and it is starting now!But I don't see it being a run a way success right off the start!

Currently started reading "the otherland" series of books, and that VR they talk about in the there is wicked!

This is just the foot in the door moment, toe by toe, until we are left with something truly revolutionary. It has the potential to change the world.
