I guess this means that modes like walker assault and cargo will be playable vs bots? if this is true its pretty good for a couple of reasons. In a few years when far less people are playing the game it will still be possible to have matches in your favorite game modes, even if its against dumb AI, better than nothing. And it also makes this Battlefront more like the originals.

I get the feeling Battlefront has not sold as well as they would have liked, this combined with the 10 year Star Wars deal is great because it means they will have to simply try harder to please fans. Its not a terrible game by any means but nobody can deny that it really needed a bit more depth to the multiplayer and a campaign is also highly requested by so many fans.

Might be confusing in the title there but if it's about playing the 40 players maps offline against AI instead it's great for people who wanted it.
However it would be mainly a 'practice' mode IMO since it can't beat the MP fun that the game has been made for.

For the love of all things gaming! Add a feature that allows us to choose the settings of a local (offline) game and allow us to customize it to our liking!!

Well at least they are not like ubisoft. I haven't been able to play the crew wild run for 4 days now. Some kind of server problem. I'm surprised no article has been written about it.

The game went on sale from black Friday through Christmas so that is going to help the player count alot. They should be allowing cross play because the ps4 has a pretty good community vs the pc.

I can still fire up Battlefront 2 and have a great time with the single player modes about a decade after it first released. and i always will

I was reluctant to get it, but after price drop on PSN to £28, decided to buy it......and i love it.

I just wish the game had a great offline, story-driven campaign.

Bought it on sale for 40$ vs 60$ it was worth it, I am really enjoying it. I don't think 60$ would really be worth it. I mean it just doesn't have a lot to offer, and end game is quick.

How about letting us turn off the HUD without completely removing the aiming reticle, this game is jaw dropping with the HUD and stats turned off.

i dont get the dislike for this game it rocks. maybe a little light on content atm but it plays great and looks great . highest killstreak so far is 23. i think ill be here a while trying to beat that lol.
anyway adding offline bots to the multiplayer will add to the replayability once the servers go down. good move

what they need to do is sell the entire game for the standard price point, not split it in half and sell you half of the game at a time

This game is the best pick up and play online shooter imo. Don't have to use too much grey matter but it's fun to play in bursts. DICE have captured the Star Wars universe brilliantly, characters, weapons, vehicles and sound is spot on, but it's difficult to add the atmosphere associated with the film. Lack of dialog with the best loved characters is obvious but what do we expect from an online shooter? DICE were never going to develop a story driven SP where they?

Got this as an Xmas pressie and while its a fun game It seriously needs much more content - its about 20% of original BF4.
Really surprised not to find a campaign, you would have thought it a perfect subject using similar humour as in BF Bad Company.

I dont think offline modes are going to have much of an impact, rather will allow EA to switch of online server support early.

Considering they cannot even patch for balance, I will go on record to state that more single player content is NOT coming!! They are now focused on the DLC, which includes??? as they have not even announced content yet....but are quick to ask for 50 bucks when you boot up the game.

overall the game is crap. Those that say it isn't are fooling themselves. it is half a game designed to cash in on the hype, nothing more. It does NOT deserve to be called Battlefront!
