Renowned designer Hideki Kamiya and creative producer JP Kellams talk of Scalebound like mad geniuses creating new life.
“The dragon is a totally new idea,” he says. “You’re fighting with an AI, how should the dragon be engaged in battle? How should we grow the dragon alongside you? Where is the focus for these things or that thing? None of that has a blueprint for us. It’s not that we can hit copy on the machine and get another one of these. We have to make the machine. In making that machine everything is a challenge because all of those parts have to fit together. The amount of decision making that you have to make and the amount of decisions that you don’t know yet because other decisions haven’t been made yet is pretty monumental."
Last we reported, Microsoft and Platinum had tentatively slated Scalebound for a release on Xbox One in late 2016.

VGC visited Hideki Kamiya’s new studio in Osaka, Japan to hear about its progress.

Legendary game designer Hideki Kamiya has expressed interest in directing a new game in Capcom's Dino Crisis series.
I'd say start with a remake. The original had some neat ideas but can greatly be expanded upon. Like trapping dinos behind laser barricades or tranq-ing them into submission. There is a lot of room to explore and flesh out these quirky gameplay mechanics.
If this happens then I hope they give us different level of dinasors some of them smart than other and of course good story and great gameplay

"I felt bad that it was being criticized so much, but I'm glad that it seems to be doing well in both sales and reviews."
Sure this 'Japanese guy' might be happy but what about the Western grifters? What about what they want?
I'm happy Kamiya is building a game that he always wanted along with a bigger budget to work with
forever making unique titles ..
I'm definitely scalebound..
I have high hopes for this game.
One of my most anticipated games of 2016. That was really an insightful interview.
