Fable Legends’ Microtransaction Plan Leaked

A user on Reddit has leaked a photo of Fable Legends showing all of the microtransactions it plans to add.

The link shows you to the photo of the pricing plan that Fable Legends plans to have on its microtransactions. You will be able to purchase gold using you own money.

The advertised “best offer” is getting 12,800 coins of gold for $59.99. The prices go lower from there. 6000 gold costs $29.99, 2850 gold is $14.99, 1850 gold is $9.99 and 850 gold is only $4.99.

Obviously, a ton of people are upset about this. Microtransactions have been included in AAA games more frequently as they are popular amongst smartphone games.

You don't have to buy the gold, you can earn it in game. The game is surprisingly very fun and addictive.

Volkama3745d ago

Hard to be sure just how bad this is without knowing the kind of stuff available for gold, but it does appear they are going for just about the worst kind of F2P model possible.

Could be worse though. At least these terrible micro-transactions are in a free to play game where they belong, and not a full priced retail game.

YinYangGaming3745d ago

In the beta and you earn silver coins which are the equivalent currency you can earn in game just obviously takes more silver to buy stuff. Problem is that quests give you between 500and 700 silver coins roughly so since some characters are as much as 80,000 silver coins its a long add grind

OpieWinston3744d ago

Everything in the game is purchaseable via Silver in game currency. So how is the worst kind of F2P Model? Especially since the game doesn't let you just buy all the items you want. It's RNG, you buy chests.

ScorpiusX3745d ago

Not bad , much easier to buy money, than have to go around killing random enemies for gold for annoying amount of time . much easier this way .

guyman3745d ago

My god.. Are you actually being serious?

ScorpiusX3745d ago

Listen you don't like that's fine and good for you , me i like things of this matter .
I like being offered options.

BallsEye3745d ago (Edited 3745d ago )

I'm not a fan of microtransactions but when there are those that are not breaking the game and give advantage that is unachievable with other means, it's completely fine. Not everyone have time to sit 24/7 by videogames. If that's how he wanna progress in the game, let him. No matter how much money he would pump into the game, a skilled player would still crush him, thanks to the experience gained while actually playing the game.

Volkama3744d ago

When the best way achieve what you want in a game is to go and do your dayjob then that game is massively flawed.

BallsEye3744d ago

@Volkama
It is nothing like that. And honestly for the money you see on screenshots you can't buy more than cosmetic things and health or mana potions. Everything else is earned by doing missions or on lottery. You guys need to play the game before saying that stuff. It's nothing like EA or Activision games.

Corporate slave.... We need the CSAs here on N4G as well.

I like being offered options too, but do you know what I like better than that? I like it when the gameplay is fun and acquiring the in game currency is fun rather than being boring to the point where I look for ways to bypass the gameplay.

"Sorry that our game is boring, repetitive and grindy, don't worry though, you can pay for the privilege to not play it."

ScorpiusX3744d ago

I will play how i want , buy what i want, whenever i want ,if that annoys people by all means those annoyed can go kick rocks .

Nightmar3Demom3744d ago

I agree. Why bother actually playing the game when you can just buy your way through?

OC_MurphysLaw3745d ago

Its ftp....pretty much expected microtransactions of some kind. As noted above...you can try it free....you don't like it....too grindy...just delete. Not sure why the outrage but I guess people need to be angry about something.

The orginal prey 2 better be on this list.

And it is. Man if could've got this instead. Wonder why no one's step up to do this kinda game yet. I think there's one in development for pc, it's cyberpunk Era but it takes place in some huge apartment complex I think. Anyway I'm saying this not knocking the prey that came out cause I did enjoy that to but really wanted prey 2 (canceled)

Skuletor769d ago

I wonder if they never happened because they were cancelled 🤔 (stupid headline)

Was just thinking the same thing...

10 Highly Anticipated Video Games That Never Saw the Light of Day

There have been so many games from major developers that we have been excited to finally play, that somehow, in some way, got axed before they were ever completed.

Deep Down is never going to see the light of day

porkChop2863d ago

Shame, it looked pretty cool.

My top 10

Star Wars 1313 - This was my if Star Wars and Mass Effect had a baby, sorta..

Silent Hills - P.T. nuff said.

Deep Down - Visuals were stunning. Capcom, please.

Agent - it has become the R* version of TLG.

Bioshock VITA - It was legitimately planned and in the works, until it wasn't..

Visceral Star Wars - Visceral, Hennig, 3rd person Star Wars action.

Scalebound - Looked awesome early on, other than the Beats By Dre..

Prey 2

Infamous VITA (rumor)

IamTylerDurden12863d ago (Edited 2863d ago )

Infamous VITA was a rumor. It was to be called Infamous: Electric Souls and Nate Fox pretty much promised me. Darn you Nate.

The Santa Monica space RPG was a shame. Too bad SSM has such high standards, i bet it wasn't that bad.

gamerpop2863d ago

Star Wars 1313 and the recently canceled EA game were big upsets.

Raven7222863d ago

Fable Legends? Really? Every other game on that list I can agree with but that. That game never had hype. It had artificial hype from people who wanted it to be more than what it was looking to become. It was hardly ever spoken of outside of list wars and some poor schmuck who was forced to write about the game because it made an appearance at some convention. It wasn't what people wanted. They wanted a proper Fable game. They got a garbage asymmetrical multiplayer game in the vein of Evolve but even less exciting.

The 10th Rider2863d ago

Eh, I think the original concept was decent enough, even if it was nothing spectacular. However it felt like the more and more they showed the worse it looked.
