$20 is too much money for an 18 year old game

ScaReCrow903722d ago

Yup. Way too much.
Sony fans will defend stuff like this it seems.

I know not all do but damn was I surprised in another article regarding the ps2 games.

Stuff like this should not happen.
But if you have companies like Sony approving this type of pricing structure for old games then other developers will follow.

JamesBroski3721d ago

The problem is not the companies themselves, but people who support them. A bunch of people on Steam whine about the pricetag, but they still freaking bought it. How can you make your point valid when you give your money to the company then turn around and tell them it's too expensive.

"Sony fans will defend stuff like this"

Sony fans are outraged at the PS2 pricing,
you're being stupid.

Why is there a picture of Turok 2? Game hasn't been remastered yet. I'm more looking forward to that one tbh. So much nostalgia. Cerebral Bore... how I miss you.

Nightdive Studios Quietly Uploaded A Native PS5 Version Of The Original Turok, Now Runs At 120FPS

After releasing remasters of all three original Turok games, starting with the first two games in 2021 and then Turok 3 in 2023, Nightdive Studios has quietly updated the first Turok game with a native PS5 update.

Beyond the bug fixes and general cleaning-up that comes with most patches these days, the big thing about the PS5 version for the original Turok is that if you have a TV that can support it, you’ll be able to play Turok at 120FPS now.

Turok: A Game Series in Need of a Reboot

The Turok series has been languishing without a new title for more than a decade. It's about time we got a reboot.

closed_account1015d ago

I'm all for it, I loved the originals... I just don't think, just like w the original Prey, that the main character can survive in this current political climate. Native characters seem untouchable at the moment. I think it can be shown the right respect, but there's always someone getting upset about something these days, they would find a way to cancel it.

BriBri1014d ago

I can't think of a game that's been cancelled because of the race of the main character.

Vits1015d ago

Honestly, I would prefer if they just ported/remastered Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion to modern platforms. So we could have access to the "original 3 games". Because I don't see how to really reboot Turok. It's a product of its time being a mixture of platforming/fps and puzzle.

And I really don't see all those elements being preserved on a Reboot.

lukasmain1015d ago

I would prefer Dino Crisis remake from Capcom. Still, a remade Turok would get my attention.

Forgets about the 2008 reboot*
I'd rather have a sequel to Turok 3, tbh.

GoodGuy091014d ago (Edited 1014d ago )

We unfortunately do not have enough quality dino games. Theres Horizon but they're robots, and Monster Hunter that I can only think of. I'd like to see Turok make a comeback some day.
