I want to say V and VI because those remakes were terrible, but IX is the only FF that really needs a remake. It's the only FF game that hasn't been ported and the only FF game that isn't even rumored to be getting ported/remade.

We haven't received viable V and VI remakes since the GBA versions. I want to see them get 3D remakes like IV did for the Vita, or at least remakes along the lines of FFIV Complete Collection (I know they got updated visuals on mobile devices but those visuals suck and I don't care about mobile devices. I want it for either Vita or 3DS).
If they completely remade FFVI in the style of FFVII remake, that would be really cool.
But I'd also really like to see VIII and IX. Those are two of my favorite FF games.
I want them to focus on FFXVI , but if they really had to remade one I would choose FFVI.
