That's a cool idea. I'm pretty split on Siege, it has some very cool moments both in PvP and Terrorist Hunt but then bullshit like the season pass that pretty much just removes the grind of unlocking operators pisses me off to no end. Hopefully if this puts more players in the servers, Ubisoft will consider putting out more content at a reasonable price.

Well i bought the season pass on the PS4 and it didn't unlock all the operators for me. Dont know if thats a pre release thing or for PC not for sure.

The gameplay is pretty solid, and yeah I agree unlocking can be some what of a drag, but that's just part of the "game" - same can be said about Witcher 3, or Fallout 4, you progress through levels and unlock specific abilities and talents, as for R6 Siege's sake, you're unlocking new classes (operators) which are then permanently unlocked on your account just like you'd expect, no big deal.

The hyper-focus on these small details perplex me and it's very curious how these little details cloud the overall judgement/pov of a game when all the developers are trying to do is provide something for the gamer to achieve rather than get in there, blast some faces off and leave along with following up on some reddit post about how the game is so boring, yawn fest, yada yada.

Season Passes, sure they're basically AIDS but you do not have to buy them, you can also unlock skins through just playing the game. I know some people who still play Black Ops 2 and have yet to buy any sort of map pack/season pass and still have a great time in-game without all the new locations, etc.

You can do some serious damage as a recruit with a custom load out so it isn't like you're completely overpowered by some god-tier player class since after all, it is a FPS and you have the ability to shoot people in the face more often with a little practice ;)

Oh I've already unlocked everyone, though I agree that recruit isn't too bad. I just hate that A) the ranking system basically only does matchmaking and B) while the operator system is cool, it feels super bland. All the guns basically can have the same upgrades (grip, silencer/flash-sup/compensator ,sight, laser). I think it's a cool idea, but I would have been way happier with fewer operators but more customization options.
