the hell means "limit breaks" confirmed? Of course they are confirmed... it's a damn remake.

DragonKnight3816d ago

The fact that it's a remake that has already undergone massive changes lends more credence to the fear that limit breaks would be removed because of the switch to Action based combat.

If it is indeed confirned that they are in the game (please let Omnislash v5 be in it as well) then the final issue I have with this is simply needing more details on the multi part releases including pricing. If SE gets that right and isn't charging $60 per part ($70 to $80 in Canada) then I'm sold. I'll only accept full retail price for each part if they release relatively close to each other, each part is a full experience, and they don't do ANYTHING like the FFXIII trilogy for how the games play. Also no card battle games, and no FFX-2 Charlies Angels crap either. Oh, and no more Dirge of Cerberus.

I'm not saying that $180 is a reasonable price to pay for a game, its a ridiculous price to pay for just a game. However, i remember a few years ago when many (i mean a lot) fans were saying they were willing to pay whatever amount just to play a remake of FF7. Now that its announced, those very same fans are rioting. LOL im not justifying it but would like to point that out.

$180 is pretty normal for 3 games.

Did we get the Mass Effect Trilogy for cheap? How about Bioshock? Uncharted?

Didn't think so.

Already confirmed to be released as a full game with full game sequels. So Yea, $180 for 3 games is pretty normal. I wish it was cheaper too tho

"Will we have a set level cap for each individual episode?" There are 2 problems with this and no solution. One is that if they do have a level cap it's going to piss people off. The other is if they don't, being episodic, people will run around leveling up while waiting for the next episode to release, and by the time it does all the characters will be too powerful, making it too easy.

Well well well! PS Exp sucks. I even can't imagined if it was excellent.

Why are people pissed off about this? The remake is looking great!

I’d love to know how many units have been sold of all the Final Fantasy VII franchise games, including the original, the remakes, spin offs such as Crisis Core, and mobile games Ever Crisis. I bet a fair few copies.

Modern day publisher be like: "Failed to meet sales expectations. Pivoting to live service."

It's an absolute legend of a game. And I honestly really love how the remake trilogy is shaping up so far.

If you already own it... There, I saved you the click on a deliberately misleading article.

DivineHand125115d ago

I bought the game yesterday on steam for $4 because Square Enix is trying to replace it with a version that has no mod support.

Prior to yesterday, I had no idea the game had so many great mods until people started making a fuss out of it.

Knightofelemia115d ago

I wish Square would port other old games to newer systems I want Xenogears.

You can thank FF7 scaring Baldur's Gate 2's director 'S***less' for every RPG since

But BG2 didn't emerge in a vacuum, and in a recent chat with Slandered Gaming it emerged that—while we can thank BG2 for a lot of our favourite RPGs since—we have a whole other game to thank for BG2. That'd be Final Fantasy 7, which lit a fire under BG2 director James Ohlen to go all out with the game's structure and companions, per Trent Oster—who worked on the original Baldur's Gate and has since become CEO of Beamdog, the studio behind the BG1 and BG2 Enhanced Editions.
