Fallout 4 may not be the full franchise evolution that some were wanting but it’s a hugely accomplished, rewarding and playable RPG all the same.
Fallout 4 on Switch 2 offers 30fps, 40fps, and 60fps modes, with graphics settings differing from PS4 and PS5 versions.

Following Fallout 4's anniversary update, Nexus Mods have assebled an Anniversary Collection of existing mods designed to offer a free refresh as an alternative

A decade on from its Game of the Year-winning triumph, Todd Howard reminisces on how Fallout 4 changed Bethesda Game Studios, its TV show adaptation and playtesting The Elder Scrolls 6.
They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.
Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.
So the part where you just sold the same games for the last 10 years while you focused on 76 and merch, was not a reset from the "creative" aspect eh? How very Todd of you.
I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.
Speaking as someone new to Fallout, I've been loving this game. I recently tried out an Infiltrator build that uses the unique pistol Deliverer and absolutely loved stealthing around killing evrything in VATS before anyone knew what was happening. My kind of game for sure. Only issues I have are how you can build a brand new looking machine gun turret or generator but can't build a house that looks like it hasn't been bombed. I also think the settlement system is missing a more fleshed out explanation, as well as some options. And finally, the game world is really small compared to Skyrim.
Other than that, excellent game.
I lol'd
Great review on FO4. Totally agreed that it is a great game but not GOTY material having sank over 60 hours in the game thus far. I like the Witcher 3 better.
I'm sorry, I love Fallout 4 also but this game isn't the game progression I was expecting after waiting 5 long years to play the sequel.
Good game, but I was expecting a little more that have been standard in more recent open world games.
Personally I would give Fallout 4 a 7 out of 10. Good game and addicting but nothing different or improved upon from Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
Not a big fan of fallout. I played a bit of FO3 and I've seen enough of FO4. While Fallout 4 gets so many things right I think Fallout 3 is the better game. Its all my opinion though and I agree with the score.
