IGN: Space Siege Review

As an action game, Space Siege works, but just barely. The combat looks bright and colorful on the surface and there is no shortage of menacing enemies and massive explosions, but the AI doesn't provide any real tactical challenge, the layout of the levels and missions is remarkably linear, and the range of abilities and weapons is too limited. There are far too few choices in Space Siege for it to qualify for the role-playing half of its genre. Players have the chance to pick a number of generic upgrades and limited skills, but the selection still feels a bit incidental to IGN, at least when compared to other games in this genre. The cybernetic choices are a bit more meaningful but the game's story needs to do more to put those choices up front early on.

looks like they removed Prey, bought it for £1.35 i think but looks like they swapped it with Bioshock at £3.50, not bad :)

85% off was a total steal for Prey, 85% is pretty much a total steal for anything though, right? I mean, a big budget game with innovative plays on gravity, for the price of an iPhone noise maker app.

It's a shame they ran out of keys though, it's ridiculous that a digital distribution store can run out of keys. I guess 2K only authorised x thousands to be sold at that price, but you can't even buy Prey at full price anymore.

Steam is pushing ahead with fantastic sales, and the publishers just can't keep up. Here's to more great deals.

Steam has always had some sick deals every weekend, but this last week has been incredible. Just bought Bioshock and Burnout for a total of $12.50. I like the idea of not having to pay a sales tax either.

No, it won't.

But whatever your next machine is, will be able to run it. Bioshock won't get any cheaper, you may as well buy it now, your Steam account will follow you forever.

Thanks, I had a feeling it probably wouldn't, but I am planning on getting a new comp upon graduating college in May. I'll pick it up now and play it before getting Bioshock 2 later.
