Star Wars Battlefront sequel could include single-player, says EA

It won't go anywhere unless people don't buy it.

I expect there to be much more content in the next game now that they have the engine up and running (which clearly what all their efforts went into). Hope there is a Campaign, Galactic Conquest, Space Battles, Prequel Era factions, more maps and heroes...

I also expect to see a space to ground like mode. Something like Rush/Walker Assault but it starts in Space, then moves onto ground battle. If there isn't a lot of content in the next game then their doing a disservice to all the people who have actually bought there overpriced game...

This is the hope! I think their idea of the reboot just didn't align with what people expected of Battlefield. It seems like they separated the content that was present in previous Battlefronts into differing modes. (also adding new ones for variety) But, many people just wanted the "full" experience all at once.
As you said, it shouldn't be too difficult to do since they already have bots running in battle modes and air assault. The engine is running very well. It's just a matter of extra time and sincere want at this point.

Haha I actually chuckled a bit. They talk about it like it's some sort of feature that they'll consider. Smh they'll be dumb if they didn't learn from the criticism a lot of ppl had with battlefront 3 but idk EA always finds a way to surprise me with the decisions they make.

Cuz the original Battlefront, Titanfall, Evolve, and others weren't enough of a reason to include one the first time.

How will they possibly justify a $60 price tag? Take some multi maps away maybe.

This is why I wish the movie wasn't coming out so soon, because it pushed EA to push DICE into rushing the game and putting a ton of content into the $50 Season Pass.

Although this game looks great, I have not bought it, nor will I buy a sequel unless it has a single player campaign.

I will pay $60 for a complete AAA game. Which to me includes a single player component equal to or greater then 8 hours and includes replayability of that single play component.

The only way I will bring SW:BF home right now is at $20.

In terms of single player I would take from Rogue Squadron (2 + 3 were classics on gamecube) but not the original Battlefronts. Their Sps were effectively just offline bot multiplayer with a few new enemy types (like Jedi on coruscant) and a bit of narration between matches. It was cool, but hardly a proper SP campaign. Instead, I'd rather they take from Jedi Outcast (best Star Wars game IMO) and Republic Commando. In terms of multiplayer though, yeah definitely take notes from the original Battlefronts, would love to roll up to the enemy base as a Droideka and have at them haha.

Hopefully they'll add a single player campaign, to future iterations.....or as an add on, for the current multiplayer ONLY BS.

I hate this latest trend of what there doing to US consumers, with games ONLY having ONLINE.....
I LOVE & ALWAYS HAVE LOVED the single player campaign. I really, truly believe that the single player campaign is integral to my gaming experience.....and also my value for money, as a paying customer.

I'm sick of this double standard that mp only games should WASTE precious resources on a throw away single player campaigns to justify the price tag but sp only games evidently DON'T. Not only that sp only games get CRUSHED for even flirting with the idea.

Fine, lets add an mp mode to fo4, skyrim, w3, horizon, etc.... as there is no way that a game with only one mode is worth full price right?
