Overkill's Apology Isn't Enough

Overkill is making huge and negative waves lately, with the introduction of pay to play advantages. The situation is made worse with community managers evading questions that fans need to know, and now it's at its worst because they won't be fixing the major issues. Time to find another company to support, everyone.

Overkill dug themselves a hole they will never be able to get out of now

GamerProfessionals3816d ago

Yeah... I just don't see the logic of it either... Seems like a really dumb mistake.

Exactly, its one thing to add microtransactions to a game they not only stated they wouldn't add them to, but they actually thought making those microtransactions boost your stats was a good idea? How in their right minds did they come to that conclusion?

I just don't get it at all and it's definitely lost them a lot of respect.

Walter_Official3816d ago

Yeah and you can maybe forgive them for the addition of microtransactions but the handling of it is just terrible

If anything they should have given a $15 microtransactions credit for people who bought the game as an apology for going back on their promise.

Empty servers might send the right message.

It's not a free to play game, they already got everyone's money from buying the game in the first place. Less people on the servers would just save them money on server costs (or make it go peer to peer if it isn't already).

I don't really personally play their games, but I know that they have a very loyal, and passionate community that follows their work. To me, as an outsider, it really sucks seeing fans get turned on like this. Like the 'core' of their core. Just doesn't make sense.

For starters, the disparity between the game’s PC and console versions is a major issue that plagued the game for years on end, thanks to the frustrating optimization issues across platforms brought about by the Diesel Engine, which the game was developed on."
