Gimme Agent already you bastards

Derekvinyard133828d ago (Edited 3828d ago )

I absolutely love rockstar, but whats the hold up with there next game announcement? They have like 4 or 5 studios they can't all be working on dlc for gta

poppinslops3827d ago

There's no way they're not working on another Red Dead.

It's like Bethesda with Fallout - everyone knew they were working on it, even as they claimed otherwise, though I don't think anyone expected it to release as early as it did... Red Dead Redemption was announced less than a year from it's launch, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if a follow-up announced and released in 2016.

@Blondie: Agent will never happen - I don't care what the R* website says... do yourself a favor and forget about Agent.

seanpitt233827d ago

I would of expected the anoument of red dead redemptions sequel by now just hope they announce it early next year because they normally release their games in the summer just hope one comes out next year.

DoctorFry3827d ago

Dude, they're too busy milking GTA Online updates.

Either way, if Agent does come out soon I feel like Uncharted 4 is gonna set the bar so high Agent won't hold up.

DeToX4203827d ago

How the hell are those two related stay on topic jeez.

mEGUSTO3827d ago

definitely red dead sequel
HOPE that theyre working on bully 2 or la noire 2

freshslicepizza3827d ago

rather see a new red dead before another grand theft auto. along with a pc version of the original.

Immorals3827d ago

Please be red dead. Please be red dead.

smashman983827d ago

This just in game developers are... developing something

Take-Two CEO Once Again Side Steps Grand Theft Auto 6 Price Point

Strauss Zelnick says price of GTA 6 is being carefully considered and that Rockstar is focused on "making the most spectacular piece of entertainment on Earth."

Kuma14d ago

If GTA 6 abandons everything that made GTA 5 great, it will crash and burn right out of the gate. GTA 5 was funny and not at all PC. My worry is that they will cave to the PC crowd and ruin the vibes.

Eonjay14d ago

They got freaking BBLs twerking on the top of trucks for the gram, the freaking Flordia joker, and dude running down the stree in their undies and you are worried about it being 'too PC'? The internet has runied gamers. It doesn't matter how non-PC they make the game, you will all listen to the grifters telling you not to believe your lying eyes lol.

gigoran813d ago

"Rockstar Games’ co-founder and former VP of Development Jamie King said he envisions GTA 6 as a game that’s “maybe not quite as edgy or quite as funny” as its satirical predecessors."

oh yeah, totally internet grifters spreading rumors...

blacktiger13d ago

That's part of the plan, they destroyed you but they need to destroy the shareholders? Only 1 shre holder is the true elite that don't care

1nsomniac14d ago (Edited 14d ago )

Meh.., if it’s above £55 I ain’t buying it.

Rockstar are genuinely not half the company they used to be. I was a die hard GTA fan I’ve purchased every game and expansion and spin off day 1.

My opinion of GTA6 is that I can take it or leave it. Not bothered. They burnt too many bridges.

DaReapa14d ago (Edited 14d ago )

So they're actually leaving the door open for an L.A. Noire sequel? Nice!

VaNdAl14d ago (Edited 14d ago )

He should just come out and say it already it's getting stupid it's going to be a 100 bucks $200 for the special edition🤡🤡; 29315;🤣♿

Storm2314d ago

I won't be getting this game until I can get it for $70. SHoot, I could wait for it to be even lower. I don't need the game that badly as my backlog is still huge and I am enjoying playing other things.

What are you talking about? This same sequence of delays happened with GTA V and RDR2. They should know better by now lol

Sabbath1313186d ago

Strauss is a farkin liar, tell the truth, the game will not be out until October 2027 and you know it

isarai186d ago

I really don't understand the shock and surprise with this delay. this has literally been every single GTA release 😂

Huey_My_D_Long185d ago

Maybe Gamers need to stop overreacting to delays. A little disheartening sure, but being upset or mad about it is just too much.

-Foxtrot185d ago

I don't understand why they felt the need to announce it so early, even with GTAV and RDR2 it was the same

GTA is massive, they could have waited until around Summer 2026 and then release it within a few months, it would have still sold super well. I understand new IPs needing time to establish themselves to gain hype but huge franchises like GTA shouldn't need that at all.

Bethesda had it right with Fallout 4, it was announced at E3 June 2015 and released within 4 months.

darkwalker185d ago

They're trying to manipulate the stock price.

SethNW185d ago

That is easy to answer, shareholders and investors. They are publicly traded company, once you become that your first and top objective is increasing shareholder value. Which is what this was. Since stocks depend on what shareholders believe and as long as you keep them confident, your stock will go up. And unlike gamers, shareholders actually do have power. If they believe company didn't do what is in their best interest, they can sue said company. Also they can cause shifts in management positions. Hence why they rather promise date, even if it won't be true or it is just wild guess and why then delays happen. Like as old saying goes, if things don't make sense, then just look at money flow and usually they will start making sense.

Also I would prefer Bethesda way of doing it too, where they announce it few moths before release. That way also all information they give are or can be accurate, instead of giving use hacked together segments of game that don't yet exist as game or just CGI trailers, both showing vision and not actual game with pinky promise this is what they will make.
