Immersive virtual reality in five years time?

Virtual reality doesn't even exist yet, but yet there's been a surge of new concepts on how VR technology will change our social and gaming life.

They need to bring a "Home" type of experience with this. Perfect way to bring back that application.

There is a PSVR game that's pretty much "Home" with all sorts of random applications in it like shooting gallaries and private spaces, etc, etc... I forget what it was called.

Actually no.virtual reality exists.

People are doing that right NOW on OCULUS RIFT and immersing themselves in the experience.they aren't waiting 5 years.they are doing it today.

But anything experienced can be addictive. But it's usually those susceptible to addiction to begin with.or maybe I haven't found mine yet. Moderation is always key even though you only live once. Who on this planet is to say what you should or shouldn't do with your life?

Games, movies, music and pictures ought to be great.I experience that somewhat on google cardboard.can't wait for real vr.

and for those DETRACTORS who say I just want to come home and sit on the couch with just a controller in your hand.while you are sitting there unwinding,I'll be sitting on a virtual beach with palm trees, hang gliding, sitting with monks in a shaolin temple, sitting in a boat fishing in a lake, standing next to the railing at niagra falls, sitting in the middle of stonehenge...

While sipping a root beer from a straw on MY couch.

"I'll be sitting on a virtual beach with palm trees, hang gliding, sitting with monks in a shaolin temple, sitting in a boat fishing..."

But you'll still be on your couch like everyone else...looking at these locations from a screen pasted in front of your eyes. You talk as if you'll be magically transported to these locations.

We know you don't like it. So what keeps you from not moving on to something you really care about?

Are a bunch of games, some of which are nearly 10 years old not one being from 2026. Barely one from 2025.

I do like the irony of the closing paragraph though, "Why VR Adventure Games are Thriving". Really buddy?

mooreneco2132d ago

That’s because it’s his favourite VR adventure games thus far, a great game always a great game regardless of age - Half life 2/ Ocarina of time - are old but still among the greatest games of all time. The irony of it is several are from last year, depending on platform, have you even played VR?
