What i'm looking forward to is how the multi-disc games will work, Major Nelson on (i think) last week's podcast mentioned something about how well the multi-disc games will work, presumably, install all 3/4 discs, and just use disc 1 to play through? this update news is getting better and better :) As above have mentioned, definately time to get a bigger drive !

I cant wait to see how long it takes to download a game life FF13 on the 360. I bet I will beable to take a crap, shower, eat lunch, and dinner before that download is done.

I actually like the current dashboard much better. It looks too bare now. The blade system kept it apart from the others, now it looks very similar to them.

This is what makes me wish the Xbox didn't have a retarded hard drive. Wish you could just switch it out for any hard drive like the PS3. Here is hoping they lower the price on the 120 gig drive cause i sure as hell am not paying over a hundred dollars for it. Also love how in the video even over the static noise as soon as the install begins the xbox gets loud as hell.

What's the point of downloading a game to the hard drive if you still need to insert the disc? I know people will be saying that the game will load faster and all that, but...

What's the point, really?

The fact that it will load faster is the point. Though this will not really affect game quality since games will still have to actually work without using the HDD because of the core/arcade units.

What i like about MS is doing a lot right now is its all Optional for the time being of course.. You do not have to update if you dont want to, or install if you dont want to.. Id like to install favorite games like Oblivion for faster loading, and soon to be Rage... i wonder if you can install disc 2 and play off Disc 1 so there is no swapping?? If not, all well ill swap it, takes 5 secs :)

I don't like the look of the new dash. The installs and party system are the only things I'm interested in.

Finally I'll have a reason to fill up my Elite other than with old demos, I'm installing all my games

Well it depends on whether you want to get a 120GB hard drive or 60GB hard drive if that ever comes out in the UK.

now I finally need to get a bigger harddrive. it's going to be well worth it considering GTA4 looks and runs better on 360 because of its superior GPU.

now because of an installation, no more popin. (even the PS3 has popin LOL, but also runs SUB HD and has no AA and blurrier textures LOL)

If this is supposed to reduce loading, it would be good to see him actually load up the game, that way we can see just how fast it loads GTA IV. I've seen it load before at a mates, and it was about one/two pictures faster than the PS3 wierdly, not that I was bothered about having the PS3 version. So with this, it should load SO quick. Be awesome to see, cos I'd love to have Fable 2 loading that quick when I get it!

Happy now i finally have a good reason for having an elite now, feel sorry for all the people with 20gb systems, that will have to pay ALOT for a bigger hdd if they want to use the feature much. I think this video pretty much confirms the system pretty much copies the whole disk to the hdd, so its going to take up a lot of space for games. I'm sure 6.8gb will be more common than 360 owners would like to think. I think MS has alienated a lot of its fan base here to try to one-up the competition - I mean it just got a lot harder to be content with a 20gb system.

one more thing Is 30% load time even worth it??? Probably not worth $150-$180 for a new 360 HDD.

How do you switch back to the dashboard? I really don't like the new one at all. I don't think I ever will.

Is to stream all of your content from your Laptop or PC. I have my 360 wired to my Linksys Wireless-N router. So I can stream my videos, pictures & music by "Windows Connection" instead of having it on my HDD. Also I have a 4-port USB block also connected to my 360 in the back. The video streaming works really well. Buffering times are decent when fast-forwarding or rewinding.

The xbox sound like a 747. The dashboard is a major rip off from Nintendo. How can anyone be proud of that. The Blade system was ok. Now hardcore Xbots are going to be known as Xiis. I could not live with that. And GTIV looks the same on both system PS3 lighting provides a softer lighting for Tru HD.

HDD installs would be mandatory if there was no Arcade model.

The Xbox sounds like 747, and plays smooth like a baby's a$$, The Ps3 is as big as a 747, and is a garbage system. Look, out of 100 million users/buyers of the Ps2, Why is it taking so long for PS3 to sell 20million in a 1year and 1/2 .. oh I got your answer, OVER ALL It F&CKING SUCKS as a gaming system . That's Why over 60 Million of previous users haven't jump to the PS3 yet. Nuff said. DO THE DAMN MATH!
