Fallout 4 Needs Mods – Things Can Only Get Better

MWEB GameZone writes: "Here is a look at why Fallout 4 needs mods asap even though the game is being received so well by reviewers. Do you agree?"

Its nice that consoles are getting mods now. I can't wait to start seeing some of the hectic mods like what are available for Skyrim.

Sillicur3881d ago

Yeh definitely. It's amazing to see what modders can do with the game. Thinking of getting into some modding myself, but only when the Creation Toolkit is out.

SonZeRo3881d ago

OH I definitely will as well.

A lot of those mods will not work on consoles... Game would be unplayable if you put some of those mods on a console game.

At least consoles are finally getting mods. Its an improvement.

I would not expect consoles to run mods like the Legacy of the Dragonborn Museum as that is just crazy amounts of stuff, but basic mods is better than no mods I say. I just hope mod makers are ready for the onslaught of console gamers complaints.

@Son

Console gamers are expecting there to be a mod to get it up to 60fps without lowering settings or anything already... So they already have complaints lined up if they think that you can just make a game 60 fps magically.. Even on powerful rigs like my rig with a 970 I have to lower certain settings in some games to go to 60 fps.

They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.

Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.

mastershredder227d ago

So the part where you just sold the same games for the last 10 years while you focused on 76 and merch, was not a reset from the "creative" aspect eh? How very Todd of you.

I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.
