Bethesda's latest offering has been in development for years, but was only officially revealed a few months before its release. Fallout 4 takes place in Boston, known simply as the Commonwealth, and has players take the role of a vault dweller who was alive before the apocalypse hit. Now rising from the ashes, this survivor must come to terms with how the world has changed, as life as she once knew it has changed greatly. However, while the world has changed, war and Bethesda's Fallout does not.
Fallout 4 on Switch 2 offers 30fps, 40fps, and 60fps modes, with graphics settings differing from PS4 and PS5 versions.

Following Fallout 4's anniversary update, Nexus Mods have assebled an Anniversary Collection of existing mods designed to offer a free refresh as an alternative

A decade on from its Game of the Year-winning triumph, Todd Howard reminisces on how Fallout 4 changed Bethesda Game Studios, its TV show adaptation and playtesting The Elder Scrolls 6.
They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.
Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.
So the part where you just sold the same games for the last 10 years while you focused on 76 and merch, was not a reset from the "creative" aspect eh? How very Todd of you.
I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.
Fanboys will be mad.
They will call you a hater or "cynical" for not thinking this game is a near masterpiece or masterpiece.
They'll claim that site that game the game an average or above average score is "clickbait", sucks or looking for hits.
They'll claim that said game does not deserve a low score for reasons unknown.
They'll claim that said game deserves a high score because they liked previous entires in the series even if those entries weren't good.
They'll pick out only one part of your review that might have been wrong or they didn't like and only focus on that one part to try to discredit your review.
Seems I have a legion of people that follow me and disagree with all my posts. 3 disagrees within 2 minutes. Not sure if they're Bethesda drones or people who have something against me.
@Ezz2013 I don't go around claiming that any review is right or wrong.
You can disagree all you want but you will have to actually provide reasons against what the reviewer wrote.
@silkrevolver I highly doubt that. I have noticed that almost all my comments get disagrees less than a minute after I comment. There are a couple users on this site that are following my profile.
Story quality? WTF
Like this website? No
Move on folks, nothing to see here.
I didn't like fallout 3. Didn't enjoy it one bit. I gave last vages a chance and i had a blast but it still wasn't as big as the hype for me. I will do the same for this one hoping that i will enjoy it like you people but if not it is my lost. I don
t see why would someone like me hate fallout since it's multiplatform. Everyone have their own taste and opinion.
As for reviews, again why do you people care ???!!!. It is proven that reviews cannot be trusted. They seek for hits. Why do you fight over them ?!
Holy crap, RPGamer... I forgot this site existed, but I used to frequent it while I was in high school in the late 90s. I remember a fellow named Thor wrote a pretty funny Q&A column... at least I think it was Thor... *skulks off*
